I’m an A&T Alumni and I guess I just kinda have mixed feelings about the whole issue at hand. I can see their point and all, however, they invited him! I mean…suddenly everyone has had this epiphany and realize he’s in a gang? I personally dont care if he performs or not consider the fact that only freshmen and locals go to the concert anyway. Since they’ve already booked him and they sold like 6000 tickets already and there’s still a month to go before the performance…let the people have what they paid for. He’s the headliner…they bought tickets to see Gucci Man…so hey, give the people what they were promised.

Thats whats up…A&T (Aggies) is a great college…I’ve been there more than a few times. I think what the protest shows is how black culture is moving away from gangs and violence. I personally think Gucci is terrible as a rapper. To me he will always be a local artist. But yeah moving away from violence…you gotta love the next generation of black men and women.

Good they canceled the show, many other rappers need to be vilified and put on display as the true sellout Stepin’ Fetch coons they are. They preach violence, hatred of women, materialism, degenerate behavior, and black on black militancy.

NOT all rappers are bad. NOR are they the initial cause of many of the issues that blacks face, however they fan the flames of our problems. How about don’t have a concert at all and focus on education. Most of the rappers are young and dumb anyway with millions of young people, mostly blacks trying to follow in their footsteps. Hip Hop artist don’t even realize how much power and influence they have over this so called new generation, they would rather get pimped by the record labels just for a few cents or maybe dollars off each record sold. If the people on this site defends the lyrics and message that most rappers, but not all are sending why don’t they actually buy their music instead of burning the garbage on disc. And the funny thing is when some one says something about these dumb ass rappers, they are labeled as haters. Im glad to see the students at this college starting to stand up and trying to get rid of this negative image that us Black folk have over our head. Um…Urban Daily…they didn’t cancel the concert at all because of the contracts, A&T simply removed their name from the concert. So instead of it being advertised as A&T’s Homecoming concert…it’s just the “Swagged Out Tour”…or whatever they’re calling it. It’s still on Halloween night (after the A&T Homecomeing game) and most people will still affiliate the concert with the weekend’s festivities but I guess for all practical purposes…it’s no longer A&T’s homecoming concert.

This was an action of the school’s contribution to SAVE HIP HOP.

It’s a damn shame that people judge a man because of his background… Violence is everywhere u go,as well as gang members. This s**t pissed me off because to me school officials are targeting someone that has absolutely nothing to do with what goes on at this school or anywhere else. He signed a contract to perform not promote violence. They want to expose the bad one has done but not the good…as u see they wont explain the two deaths that happened at their school…can anyone explain why? Knowing them they probably blamed 50cent for that.
