Lil Kim Breaks Silence On Notorious Film
After threatening to “expose” the ex-wife and mother of the late Notorious Big, the Queen Bee has released a statement about the way she was portrayed in the film.
“The film studio and producers involved were more concerned about painting me as a ‘character’ to create a more interesting story line instead of a person with talent, self-respect and who was able to achieve her own career success through hard work,” the rapper said.
“Even though my relationship with Big was at times very difficult and complicated (as with most relationships we have all experienced at one time or another), it was also genuine and built on great admiration and love for each other. Regardless of the many lies in the movie and false portrayal of me to help carry a story line through, I will still continue to carry his legacy through my hard work and music.”
Reggie Rock Bythewood, one of the writers for the movie, responded to growing controversy surrounding the movie as well, saying he reached out to Kim while the final script was written. Ultimately, Bythewood says Kim severed ties before the final script was completed. However, he maintains that the on screen portrayal of Kim was fair.

My official disclaimer: The below stated information only applies if your dating a BOY and not a MAN. A real MAN has only has 1 woman and the below stated information would mean to him, exactly what i’m about to call it: “NONESENSE!!!”
In the world of HOODISM, there are 4 types of women. The wifey which in this case was Faith. She was his limelight woman, she will get the respect by the media and will always be the victim. The baby girl. Which was lil kim, he cared about her, maybe even loved her, but she’s never the main woman, he’ll always take care of baby girl and make sure she’s good but she’ll never be wifey. When wifey trippin, go to baby girl. Now If there is no wifey, then babygirl is the main chick for then but he always lookin for wifey. Baby girl is a pawn she move up and down the ladder as the king see’s fit but she’ll never officially be a queen. Then there is the jump-off and the side piece. Any random groupie is a jump-off so no explanation needed, but the jump-off is the worst of all. She’s all about getting her’s. She just don’t give a F$@%! Hence Naturi presenting Lil Kim as a jump-off because she’s a jump-off in the since of money. She know she couldn’t play Kim, but she did it for money, so it is what it is. But I like lil Kim, I agree she should make her own movie with the truth in it.
Maybe Kim should do her own biopic?
I saw the movie. I believe that Ms. Jones has a legitimate point BUT she should’ve stayed close to the writing team to make sure that she was portrayed in the right light.
In the movie, it was my interpretation that she was just a convenient booty call who could bust 16 bars.
I’m surprised they didn’t do more on his musical relationships. It just seemed like I was watching what I already knew. I wanted to find out something new about him.
