Today marks the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. Last week we showed you how the Emmy award winning program influenced hip-hop. Today, we take a look at some of the best guest appearances and sketches from The Street.

    Have nothing but fond memories of SS…..that and my local show Lucy’s Toyshop were the BEST shows ever for children. the late, great Jim henson LOVED to have Black celebrities on that great show…LOVE THAT STREET!!!!!!

    I still love The Street!!! I remember an awards show where they had Elmo presenting an award and he said that he wanted to give a shout out to his homies back on Sesame St. I nearly fell out of my chair…
