I have to wholeheartedly agree with the two posts below me. Love him or hate him, you MUST respect how Jay has elevated his game. This reminds me of when EPMD broke up and Erick was talking that crap about Parrish. While Erick was out renting limos, buying jewelry etc. Parrish immersed himself in the business, and positioned himself properly in the event things fell off. Well as it always does, the hits stopped coming, and while Parrish was still living comfortable due to investments and other business deals, Erick was busy conducting interviews talking smack about Parrish, while sleeping in Dallas Austin’s studio. Years later, Erick had to come to terms with his irresponsible ways, and admitted that he was not business savvy enough. That and many more examples are for those who come after, but apparently, these lessons fall on deaf ears. Beans, you had all the opportunity in the world to do for self, and now you have no one to blame but yourself for your misfortune.
