THE LEAK: Diggy Simmons “Point To Prove”

You may recognize 14 year old Diggy Simmons as the son of Rev Run and nephew of Russell Simmons. His older brother JoJo formed the group Team Blackout whose only success was as a punchline for snarky bloggers all over the web.

It looks like Diggy might escape that fate with his forthcoming mixtape, The First Flight.

Don’t get me wrong, Diggy isn’t Rakim (and judging from his latest album, Rakim isn’t Rakim either these days), but he shows a lot of promise on “Point To Prove.”

He’s better than Nicki Minaj though.

    Wow. The Digsta’ got skills on the mic. I’d buy the CD if he came out with one. I think he has a smoother flow transition than Bow Wow did in his younger days. I see Diggy making it because he isn’t presenting himself as a kiddy rapper.

    That is nice by Lil Diggy. I am not a fan of Rap music, this I would purchase. It has a nice beat, his voice is good, and it has a nice flow. He always appeared that he had talent. Look at him!
