Um, I don’t like this song at all. When will she write something of substance. She is 28 years old, let’s write some real stuff. This song is garbage. The video reminded me of “Crazy In Love.” I like the colors, didn’t get the guns.

Beautiful girl, can sing but often leaves much to be desired. I understand that she is an entertainer and not an artist. Good to see Lady Gaga look normal for a change and she was right with Bey on the dance moves, that is if you call that dancing.

Man, Aaliyah is really missed. Her videos were all ways fresh and she was not always naked when she performed. Bey’s voice is better but her creativity is severely lacking. Yawn, boring….Next.

Perhaps 21 year old Jazmine Sullivan can write a song for Bey. Seriously, has written anything empowering and uplifting. I know Survivor but she needs to sit with Alicia Keys and get some depth. She is so one dimensional and her music is too.

Disclaimer: This is not hating, this is my opinion. Bey is beautiful and can sing, I would like to see her really challenge herself and dig deeper. There has to be more to her than booty shaking and a pretty face. She has money and can do some different things. She has a fan base who will buy whatever she puts out, do something to push the envelop. Put some clothes and sing some songs that are about something other than material, sex and bootyliciousness.

I definitely agree with Cmoore. I love Beyonce but I’ve been waiting for her to push the bar. Overstep these sexist boundaries the industry puts on us. Aaliyah definitely accomplished making being a “tom boy” sexy to the world. Her baggy jeans and her voice took us by storm. I’m still waiting on Beyonce to do something meaningful that we haven’t seen or heard before. Club jumpers are good. This is definitely a good club jumper but I think the world is ready for substance. Less sexuality and more substance.
