Over the years I’ve been witness to the ways that black churches have used to make the gospel palatable to the youth by attempting to adapt current musical trends to the gospel music:

The latest addition to the list is Big Show and his “Do The Church Dance” video, which was originally released last year.

    That s**t isn’t motherf**king more than how it’s just sad! Why do people feel God has a need to somehow adopt to changing times and/or attitudes? God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and will not be mocked because that’s certainly what was attempted here. People seek God for a change from their sinful lives so why would I be living a worldly lifestyle and even consider the church if they are offering what I’m already living?

    ok….here’s the thing….dancing is not a sin..let me repeat that..DANCING IS NOT A SIN!! David danced before the Lord NAKED…..in a display of praise…..and God accepted his praise offering. It is not dancing that is sinful….but the music and motives behind the dancing that count. Did you know in certain churches just the choir rocking in the choirstand is considered dancing?? God’s music is God’s music…whether it be in the form of R&B, country and western…and hip hop….and a dance for God is just that.

    That is the WORST THING I have ever seen. I don’t know who Big Show is but he should be absolutely ashamed of himself. If he spent some time in church he would have more respect for the church. It does not take that to get young people in church. That is what is wrong with youth today … to much catering to them.
