Okay 50 Cent’s album Before I Self Destruct is online now and he’s got video and radio pushing his singles. Isn’t Self Destruction a bad thing? In many ways it’s ironic that 50 Cent titled his album Before I Self Destruct and that in many ways he represents the Self Destruction that KRS, Kool Moe D and Chuck D. were warning against. By promoting guns, violence, gangs and drugs in many, ways 50 is encouraging his followers to head for Self Destruction. My beef with 50’s philosophy, is that while a lucky few get rich, hustling, many more die trying.

Understand what is going on… The radio stations got pressured by commercial sponsors to stop playing all this pro-black music which was deemed racist to them and when we went to MC “Kill A Nigga” as in harm our own people there were no more problems. I just feel Hip Hop needs a balanced we need the positive as much as the negative to keep the music going. The ironic s**t is when Ice T came out with “Cop Killer” (which wasn’t a rap song by the way it was rock music)… the LAPD protest the s**t out of him and now Arnold Schwarzenegger who has “killed an entire precinct” which was visually graphic in the movie Terminator is governor of California lol

Why don’t artist do these type of collabos anymore??? “The Same Gang” had all the West Coast rappers. Remember “You Will Know?” Brian McKnight, D’Angelo, Gerald Levert, Tevin Campbell, Christopher Williams, etc. They just don’t do this kinda shyt anymore…
