Almost twenty years after releasing his hip-hop classic, “Be A Father To Your Child,” Boston’s Ed O.G. spoke to DJ Vlad about why he made that song and what fatherhood means now.

    I can truthfully say I like Ed too but think they should keep child support because if they dont these men will always run,that’s what one of my kids dad is doing now.I think they need to get harder on the deadbeats and not so hard on the men doing they parts.

    I loved that song when it came out, though I dispute the percentages he threw out there, in the song, about all that faithfulness. lol I definitely rocked it a lot, while in the ‘Bury.

    I loved this song since I first heard it years ago. His lyrics said it better than I could have. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!! to all the dedicated, hard working,and supporting daddies who are in their kids lives constantly and consistently.
