Lloyd Banks is a lucky man. The “Beamer Benz Or Bentley” MC has never heard porn star Brian Pumper rap or seen his video, “Oh It’s Shaved.”
When asked about Montana Fishburne’s estranged co-star wanting to join G-Unit Records Banks managed a polite grin but offered the rap rookie some advice.
“I mean it’s a million people out there that wanna be signed to G-Unit,” says Banks. “I haven’t heard him rap but I can’t knock nobody’s dream. All I could say is that it doesn’t happen overnight. I’ve been rapping since I was about 11 years old. I take it that serious. Michael Jordans and Kobe Bryants don’t happen by accident.
“That’s the thing about rapping; it’s one of the only professions you don’t need a GED for. You can wake up fresh out of prison and say I’m gonna be the best rapper out. [But] if I told you to come try out for the Giants you gotta be prepared for that workout. There’s a difference.”
Lloyd Banks and G-Unit have signed a distribution deal with EMI records and his third solo album, The Hunger For More 2 will be dropping this November.
