Lets get real, most of what these rappers today are talking ish on there tracks. It is the kind of lifestyle that sells. Saying you are a pimp, gangster, drug dealer is a glam lifestyle. What real pimps are in the music industires they are on the streets making money off hoes. Now people get do get pimped by some in the industry, but all that ish they be talking on tracks is str8 that Bulls**t. The days of real rappers is long gone, all thats out there today are wanna be’s but hey they are making money, none of mine by the way. It is a watered down industry with very few who deserve props. My list of ones who get props are Snoop, M, Nas, Dre, and say what you want about Jigga that fool moves units. I agree with Corner Boy, to quote Pusha T “Live nigga rap is back”. Also as an MC, I too started out rapping doing like most up and comers do…talking about a life I don’t live, doin s**t I never did. Even in real life. You have to live through music truthfully and BE YOURSELF. New MC’s are trying to tell the same story and take the same angles that the great ones have already taken. But EVERYONE can’t live that life and EVERYONE can’t tell the same story. Then it would be a need for new MC’s.
