Karen R Civil caught up with Jean Grae at Shayna D’s Diva Lounge where the femcee was being honored for her accomplishments as a woman in hip-hop.

Among the topics discussed Jean Grae spoke about her Twitter followers wanting her to “go at” Nicki Minaj prompting her to declare that she actually likes the Young Money rapper.

“Seriously, I’m fine with what she does,” says Grae. “Let Nicki do what she does and let me do what I do…let us all be out there. Let us co-exist. We don’t have a Grammy category for us anymore and it’s no fun if there is no sparring, no competition or diversity. I don’t want to be the only person standing in rap.”

As for the beef between Nicki and Lil Kim she insists that it’s not her concern but has a wonderful tongue and cheek solution.
