My people, you guys need to stop being racist towards one another. That man has the right, HIS RIGHT, to date or select WHOEVER he feels. He’s right.. When did black women become so judgemental, I guess when black women got so much f**kin attitude…. man, f**k that… Life is about experiencing the wonders and beauty of the world.. I was reading some of the comments. I don’t care about black men dating other races, that is their preference. We as black women should not have a problem with that. The thing that concerns me, are the statements that black men make as to why they date outside of their race. Do not degrade black women, because white women are just the same, the only difference is their white. Me myself, I will date white men, and other races. When a black woman date outside of her race, we are talked about, the black men have issues with that. But a black man can date outside of his race with no problem. Black women, stop tripping off of these lame black men, and start dating outside of your race. Honestly, you will find that you are treated better, and appreciated when you date outside of your race.

Not that it matters Ochocinco but I am no longer a fan of his. I do not hope to see him do well in life. Having a preference based on size, shape, color, culture is to be pre-disposed to the content of character of another person; few mindsets in life can be more shallow. It is Chad’s preference that ought to be investigated. Why does he have such a shallow preference that demeans both himself and the women that he chooses? A woman of substance would not be on the show or avail themselves to such a debacle of flesh peddling.

In the first episode Chad exposed his value system as extremely twisted when he decided to keep the little caucasian woman who put T.O. on stand by in case; things don’t work out for her with Chad. He kept a formally educated woman who lied by omission to her father about her gold digging after Chad.

Originally, I watched because I believed Chad to be a young Thundercat, an American Man of African Descent who was somewhat if not completely a renaissance man, if you will. Now, I know I was wrong. I now know that he is just an idiot with money. What an utter dissapointment

This is part of the reason why the world is so f**ked up because people choose to mind others business moreso over them minding their own. We are all created as individuals and whatever floats one person boat doesn’t mean it has to be the same for the next person. Black women and White women are similiar in many ways and different just the same. I am so tired of people always trying to pull that race card bury that s**t leave and leave it under the dirt. If we sit around and try to find all of the things that makes the next person bad we would negative for the rest of our lives. White and Black men don’t all pay child support. There are Black and White women who are golddiggers so WTF!!! At the end of the day whomever Chad chooses to be with how is that going to affect me in anyway………Let’s see NONE so what is the big deal about getting in this uproar of what a person do outside of his profession. If a black postman decided he wants to be with a white woman is that s**t going to make the news? I hardly think so. There are more important things that we need to concentrate on like the oil spill, changing the statue of limitation for rape and make it the same as murder not sitting here worrying about who the f**k Chad is dating and who he may choose in the end that is his f**king business and preference.

it doesnt bother me what his preferences are and i will never lose any sleep over one man. i feel the same as him but its the opposite obviously. i prefer dating outside of my race, because once you have broaden your spectrum you can some what eliminate who interest you and he doesnt. im a very open minded person and i prefer interracial dating because personality wise we are more compatible then dating within. there are a lot of qualities in which it compliments me and the other person. i feel that any woman or man that is offended by anyone who prefers interracial dating is just angry and full of hatred. the old saying is “if you do no have anything nice to say keep it to yourself”. thats just my theory and especially when its none of your business. its one thing to elaborate on a opinion but to be irate about something that is irrelevant to you simply displays your ignorance much more visibly. in my opinion i think majority of black men should be with another race because theyre not compatible with the average black woman vice versa. they always say majority of black women are angry, im not and i stay happy. ive met more angry black men than anything well hispanics are about the same depending on the ethnicity. im not stereotyping simply an observation from experience. there are a lot of angry black women and hispanic women too. i understand why the men date outside there race and it only makes sense unless they want to be miserable just by settling. i.e. my brother is usually angry all the time and i had always encouraged him to date outside his race in which he only does now. the type of angry mind frame he has most black woman would not put up with that nor have the patience so why should he waste his time? he has had more healthier relationship and less hostility since he has went strictly interracial. i speak the truth through observation in which the truth can change with exceptions from time to time. the point of my story is find what works for you and how others may feel should keep you motivated. woman or men that get angry about interracial dating you just give that person one more reason why they should not date you. have you ever thought about that? im finished just had to educate some of you all.

The only women who are mad are the ones looking to get their hands on his money. Get over it, he knows what he likes and why should he pick what he doesnt like to make other people happy. Thats a big problem in the black community always worried about pleasing everyone else instead of your self and dating who you think is most acceptable to everyone but yourself. I am a black woman and I can tell you I wouldnt date 85 (Sorry but, he’s black not hispanic) for all the tea in China. Yes it may be his preference or right to choose who he wants, but you must look at the bigger picture. These “find a love(r)” reality shows are not truly about trying to find love. They are about the entertainment, drama, ratings, and the over-the-top hype in watching these celebs go about it. I look at the message it is sending to our younger generation, boys and girls alike. It seems to give a message that Black is is the last or lesser desired. When you look at other dating reality shows where Whites are the lead character, here too you only see a hand full of Blacks. Which you know they stand zero chance of winning. Television, and the media in general are powerful tools. If it is constantly representing that Black is the least desired (especially darker skin), even by many other Blacks (i.e. just check out almost any Black rap/hip-hop/r & b video). Again these shows are not about trying to find love. Why would someone of celebrity status need to resort to such degrading measures to “find it”. I would think with their resources, contacts, and network, there would be an abundance of people availble for them to meet and/or date. Since these shows are about entertainment, I think the producers should have had him chose at least a more balanced representation of women. And not feed into the stereotype (the truth to some degree), that so many Black atheletes, once they achieve fame resort to dating exclusively outside their race. I’m not trying to bring psycholgy into this, but why is it that every other race seem to automatically, instinctually, whatever, seem to be first and foremost attracted to there own race. Why does this seems to be so different for Blacks? Remember we all must play a part in nurturing and giving our youth postive images, characters, and role models. With that being said, I don’t and won’t watch this show!

Cali, I have friends that are white, asian (Vietnamese actually), Hispanic (Mexico and El Salvador respectably) and Middle Eastern and they put down their women too. They are very controlling and in some cases abusive (Please see how the Japanese or the Middle Eastern men treat their women). My friend that is Vietnamese loves some white women. Other races of women, and I have been told this by them, love how black men treat their women. Why do some black women expect you to have a blind devotion to them when alot of times they act is if they could care less about you? Who knows his reasoning for wanting a certain type of woman? I understand that not all black women are a certain way, but you have to do what is best for you. I guess he should have given higher percentage of black women to go on national tv and act like gold diggers. Often times we get jaded because we have dealt with certain types of people. I saw that episode also, and he would have let that black woman go. I thgink that was his plan (remember the white woman was a 4 and the black woman was a 14 I think), but problem was the white woman was so indifferent towards him he had to let her go. She wasn’t boring). She really didn’t care if he was Chad Ochocinco. She said to him, I don’t need you at least twice that I recall.
He had absolutely no sexual attraction toward that black women. He even called her a homie. He was sexually attracted to the white woman and lavished praise on her, but like I said she had a take it or leave it attitude.

The heart of the issue is that blacks don’t like seeing other blacks act or think outside the box. Everything you do has to pass a litmus test of being acceptable in the black community and if it is not, you get ostracized, ridiculed, accused of having self half issues, you get told you are not black enough, etc. Many behaviors constitute for being an outside-the-box thinker (how you talk, being smart in school, who you date, what music you listen to, etc.) What this means is if you are a black man and don’t fit into the mainstream appearance standards, (thug-like appearance, swag, bling-bling), then you fall out of the realm of desirability when it comes to black females. Everyone knows this, but NO ONE likes talking about it because it makes BW accountable for their choices. Why don’t Tyra, Oprah, and everyone else ask women about this??? I’ll tell you why, it’s because they capitalize off your foolishness, they capitalize off the fact that you women won’t take accountability, and they capitalize off your misery, and that’s the real…..

See you can’t simply be a black man of substance doing what you are supposed to do, you have to have an equal (or greater) level of swag appeal/thug appeal to get black women and that’s the trick. Whereas other ethnic groups of women tend to not require as much swag or thug appeal because they feel that you having substance is more important.

This is only happening in america, in the uk and jamaica they date outside, but they dont go on international tv and cuss black women. After 31 years of life, living in 4 countries (and counting) this is what I have learnt about brothas:

Brothas, are HUMAN BEINGS. The heterosexual ones are ‘typical’ men – they loooooooooooooove p***y! Period. They don’t discriminate. They may have preferences but they just love women who they find sexy and want to taste it, period. I noticed in America women getting mad – why are you getting mad? Being of the same culture or skin hue does NOT make two people compatible, it goes deeper than that. Besides, MOST people regardless of cultural background end up, if they want to be in a serious relationship, with someone from a similar cultural background.

I think women (and men) who ASSUME people’s preferences because of one partner or experience are just manipulative – to go out of your way to get hysterical about what someone else is doing with their life…imagine if they were dating YOU. Pure misery.

Date who you like. I do. And I don’t get mad at folks who might end up with someone I thought was cute. It’s their life, they’ll make their choices. If we were MEANT to be, we would have, period.
