Sheneneh and Wanda Will Get Their Own Movie For Real

The trailer for Sheneneh And Wanda at the BET awards last year, which was just a skit, created so much of a buzz that Screen Gems has decided to make it a movie says Variety.
I think it could be funny. Always a thin line between clownin and coonin, but I’m sure Fox and Lawrence will be able to make this funny without being stupid. Both of the characters were funny in their own right, I just hope it gets a good script.

I grew up watching Bugs Bunny and Tiny Toons too. Do I watch them now, No, I’m an adult. That being said if they don’t mind looking like complete idiots, than by all means that’s their business. If people like watching them look like complete idiots. That’s their business.
What I’ve learned is that no matter what, people will justify anything to have a good time. (R. Kelly fans are the epitome of this.) So this is really no different.
And the sad thing is they don’t realize you don’t have to look or act, or be stupid to have a good time. But when you surround yourself in stupidity, it’s all normal to you. So they won’t see anything wrong with it.
First of all we all grew up watching sheneneh and Wanada so if they want to do a movie be my guess….I get so tired of people saying how we look blah blah yall know just like me yall got a couple of family memebers who are like that maybe even worse..Its just a shame yall embarassed about who and what yall come from…This is who we are we like to joke about the truth…instead of letting it hurt…This doesn’t not mean every black women act like this don’t yall forget about our women leaders This is just the way some ppl act and that the way some ppl act does that stop the real color of your skin…please just do you and if ppl would just do them and stay real we wouldn’t have a problem but there is a lot of copy cats and followers that you wouldn’t even know u if it looked at you in the mirror everyday…All im saying make me laugh cuz i rather laugh then be serious all the time..! DUECES****
I will not playerhate I will congratulate these black men for all the work they have done threw the years..I will go see it just to support our people and to get a laugh….I love Martin and Jamie both keep up the good work brothas

I hope it is funny. If they just HAVE to make this, I hope they do it good and not turn it into a modern day minstrel show. I am not going to see it though. Something really bugs about watching my black brothers dressed in drag. Its hard for me to stand. The “men in womens clothes gag”, was never really funny to me. Also there is something about this that just feels wrong. Almost like it makes black men and black women look bad all at the same time. As a proud black man, this type of movie is depressing. Just my thoughts. Anyway good luck to them…

To laugh or not to laugh? Who hasn’t seen, know of, or are even related to females who carry on and act this way. Some people want to hide from this. The are movies are just that movies. They depict black people achieving high goals and in real life female role models show that. One movie is not going to take blacks back two hundred yrs. Men in drag, lol what not funny about that when you know its’ them?
Nope, I don’t think this would be anything I would go see. It wasn’t funny at all to me.

Hmmm, Shenehneh and wanda were cute BACK WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER. Now, I agree with soularflarez..its just doing too much. Its degeneralizing to black women. I’ve learned that WE dont need to be portrayed in the public eye like this…I still agree with Spike Lee…Sometimes there should be a limit to how we ‘get a laugh’..Is it worth it at this expense??
