GRETNA, La. – Jurors in the Corey “C-Murder” Miller second-degree murder trial have been sent back to the jury room after reaching a guilty verdict that included a questionable vote.

The Louisiana jury announced Tuesday that it had found Miller guilty of second-degree murder, but the judge warned them that the verdict could be invalid. That’s because the judge said one of the jurors had changed her vote just to end deliberations.

He asked the jurors to go over the decision again and asked the juror to consider whether her vote was in good faith.

The jury voted 10-2 for the guilty verdict.

If convicted of second-degree murder, the 38-year-old Miller would face life in prison. He is accused of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas at a nightclub in 2002.
