Chris Brown Back On The Charts Thanks To Wedding Video

In the same week that Chris Brown went to YouTube to apologize for assaulting Rihanna, a viral videoclip of a wedding party dancing down the aisle to Brown’s song “Forever” returns him to the charts.

In the week ending July 26, it sold 50,000 downloads according to Nielsen SoundScan. That’s up a whopping 1,721% in sales compared to the previous week and the song thusly re-enters the Hot Digital Songs chart at No. 21.

It’s the first time the uptempo single has appeared on the list since the tally dated Jan. 31. It’s also the best sales week for any of Brown’s songs since Christmas week of 2008, when “Forever” shifted 77,000.

On July 20, Brown went to his official YouTube channel to issue a video statement about the incident with Rihanna. It has been watched 2.4 million times.

    I am sure every knows that what Chris did was wrong. Teenager or not, we all know that you are never suppose to put your hands on a woman! You dont have to be a certain age limit to know that. On the other hand he is not the only one that has done something like this but since he is in the public eye, it has caused him to have more attention then the guy next door. I am glad that he is able to move on with his life; and I feel the same about Rhianna. Hopefully this is a lesson that they both have learned from.

    It’s about time they took their boot off the boy’s neck. I was hoping things would come back around for old boy Chris Brown. We are all human, and we all make mistakes, I just wish the media and some sold called rap artist who think they have power, (And you know who you are…..J,) would remember that the next time you decide to put out a witch hunt and put somebody on front street. He, who is without sin, let him casts the first stone.
    Chris I would say welcome back, but to me you never left.

    It took some white people at a weeding dancing down the aisle to get him back on track. That is a damn shame. Becuz i dont know many black people with internet that are BUYING music downloads.
