he’s not exactly saying that the style was jocked, but at the same time, people’s gonna venture out and make music like they want to – artists make art. that’s what it comes down to…stop tryin to start some bull. besides, one came before the other…obviously that would be q-tip (duh! lol)

That comment about Andre 3000 to me is way out of pocket because it’s actually a speculation that Andre 3000 even heard Q tip’s Kamaal the Abstract album. I have both albums as a matter of fact I have Q tip’s album in my car cd changer now and although it is good to hear music from Q Tip, his album and the Love Below album is absolutely apples and oranges. I see absolutely no similarities in the music nor lyrics. I think that Q Tip chose Andre 3000 because in all of music right now he is the only artist successful that Q Tip can even remotely identify with creatively and make such a statement and get away with it. Actually, Common’s Electric Circus was much closer to Q Tip’s album and came out just prior to Andre 3000′s… Why didn’t Q Tip make the same comment about Common?

LA Reid/ LAFace Records/ Arista/ OUTkast? How are you going to say Tip is out of pocket when its very possible the album was leaked and though it may not sound anything like Tip’s which it shouldn’t because even a decade ago biting was not allowed, it could have inspired 3stacks in his quest to move forward with his artistic brand to hip hop. I personally think Tip was influenced by Prince in a lot of those songs especially some of Prince’s later music up to date.

Don’t get me wrong I like Outkast and all, but if Dre (f**k that 3000 s**t) jacked anyone I would think that it would be Kool Keith aka Dr. Octagon/DOOOM bka Black Elvis. I mean Keith was doing the weird wigs and outfits and multiple personalities loooooooong before Outkast even got together. Dre came out on some pimp s**te and after he f**ked with Erykah Badu he hasn’t been the same since. Same thing with Common Sense (f**k that post neo soul one name moniker crap). And for the record, for those of you whose idea of “Hip-Hop” is Tupac after he joined the ‘row, A.T.C.Q. (A Tribe called Quest for the young and seriously misguided) had dropped two albums before Southerplayalisticcadillacmuzik even had the lead single “Players Ball” appear on the LaFace Christmas Album. I’m not taking sides (I’m a southerner that’s two hours away from the ATL) I’m just telling it like it is. But don’t believe me wiki it!
