Jagged Edge Signs With Slip ‘N Slide!

In other news, R&B quartet Jagged Edge will continue their fairly successful career with a new label in Slip-N-Slide Records. Previously signed to Island Def Jam, Jagged Edge will now make their mark with the Miami-based label that already boasts acts such as Plies [click to read] and Trina [click to read].

Label founder Ted Lucas explained the significance of signing an already-established R&B group. “[Jagged Edge] are one of the preeminent R&B groups of our time. They are going to pick up right where they left off and bring their fans some great new hit songs,” he said in a press statement. Adding Lucas, “I’m excited to welcome Jagged Edge to the Slip-N-Slide Records family.”

Jagged Edge’s debut album on Slip-N-Slide is tentatively scheduled for a 2010 release.

    They still can sing. At least that’s one group who puts out some good music. Those colabos will be intresting indeed.

    OH MY GOODNESS. THIS CANNOT BE 4 REAL. JAGGED EDGE ARE AT THEIR BEST WHEN THEY HAVE JERMAINE DUPRI PRODUCING THEIR HITZ. SLIP-N-SLIDE CAN’T PRODUCE R AND B ACT’S. JUST LOOK AT HOW THEY DID MY BOY J-SHIN. HE CAN SANG HIS AZZ OFF, BUT THEY DROPPED HIM AND KEPT TRINA, NASTY, WACK AZZ.

    thank about if things was good at the other label they would have never left.the label they was asigned to dropped jermaine so either way they would not be working with him ,in life we need change and maybe this change will bring good things for them

    Hmmm, not sure if I like this idea AT ALL. JE is a R&B group & I don’t really see a marketable space for them at Slip-n-Slide. I usually try to reserve judgment but my instincts are screaming NO NO NO NO NO!!!!

    This is a weird marriage….the only way this will work is if they the label lets them continue as they were without the corny repping S & S thing…imo
