Kanye Says: “Lil Wayne’s The New Jimi Hendrix!”

Rapper Kanye West has a list of legends-in-the-making – hailing Jay-Z the new Frank Sinatra and Justin Timberlake as the next Michael Jackson.

The hip-hop star insists the current crop of emerging musicians are brimming with talent, and is adamant Lady Gaga will be this century’s Madonna, while pal Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce Knowles is a modern-day Tina Turner.

In a posting on his blog, West writes: “I look at our current superstars like legends in the making. Like Justin is the new Mike, Beyonce’s the new Tina Turner, Gaga’s the new Madonna, Jay is Sinatra. (Lil) Wayne is (Jimi) Hendrix, Thom Yorke is (Pink Floyd rocker) Roger Waters.”

    actually lil wayne plays the guitar, he has been for a couple years now. i dont think any of these artists should be compared to legends because these artists are legends in their own way, except lady gaga because she’s ripping off gwen stefani.

    People are really tripping these days with all this comparison bull****! Why do people even try to compare modern-day artists to the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Tina Turner, or Micheal Jackson? These artists did their thang in their time. There’ll never be another one like them. Often inmitated…never duplicated! Lil’Wayn, Jay-Z, Beyonce…are all excellent in what they do. Let them be individuals and perfect their crafts on their own. People think that by comparing artists to others..they have contributed something brilliant to the world of words…like they have cracked the Divinci Code or something. Especially Kanye…he’s looking for a comment to come back at him praising his genuis! LOL! Im really tired of hearing from him. We don’t need his ‘impressive’ comments to decide for ourseles whose the best of the best.

    Everytime I hear a Lil Wayne rap/song, I always think “This ahs got to be the LUCKIEST brotha on earth!” I don’t know how he’s gotten to where he has!     I also agree with Yoshi. Kanye should worry about his own career, and not label anybody “The Next” ANYONE!. Jay-Z doesn’t sing, Lady Gaga and Madonna are worlds apart, No One could compare to MJ..and Jimi Hendrix was years ahead of the game in recording and playing guitar, the same cannot be said about Lil Wayne. Leave the comparing to the experts, not the “All About Me” performers.

    I’m starting to like Kayne better as a producer. Jimi Hendrix and Lil Wayne are indeed worlds apart. Lil wayne may play guitar but not better than Jimi. Jimi Hendrix out did Eric Clapton and played for the Isleys in his younger days. Lil Wayne is best to rap because Jimi’s shadow will overcast his light 100%. Kayne…..worry about the fish.
