The Game Sued Over Funeral Scuffle

In July 2008, Compton rap star The Game made headlines when he assaulted a cousin while attending his sister’s July 5 funeral in California. Charges were immediately said to be pressed.

Over a year later, TMZ.com now reports that the cousin, Robert Kirkwood, has officially filed against the Interscope emcee and Black Wall Street CEO. The suit includes four other people, and states that the rapper got physical after the millionaire was confronted about not helping to pay funeral costs.

The suit is to cover personal damages, medical costs and more.

The suit comes within a month of The Game’s public verbal attack on Jay-Z, a story that’s made headlines in Rap media, entertainment media and even NPR financial analysis.

The Game has yet to comment on the suit.

    let me get this straight. The cousin provoked the Game by telling him he is a cheap bastard for not paying for his sisters funeral. Then once he gets in a physical altercation he file charges so he can get a lawsuit,lol. Wow thats family for ya.

    Thing is they wanted Game to pay for the whole funeral and he was going to pay for some of it not all of it. Then the cousin got mad at Game that is how it all happened.

    Everyone that is writing this was Game sister iw WRONG. Read Sister to Sister Magazine and it has the entire story given by Game’s sister. The funeral was a cousin and not his sister. The fight started when Game’s sister who is an up-and-coming rapper was confronted by relatives because Game did not pay for the funeral. Game was going to help out but they wanted him to pay for the entire thing. The dead cousin and the family is from the father side who Game and his sister does not see often. Game was somewhat close to this dead relative. When the sister was confronted, Game stepped in. The family went after Game and he defended himself. So people let’s get the facts before you judge. Why should he have to pay for the funeral? That was not his sister. It was a MALE COUSIN.
