The issue for me is not the fact that they are starting their own show. My issue is that people are comparing them to Hannah Montana, but why? Simply based on their appearance and their performance at the BET Awards, they aren’t in the same league. These girls are 11 & 12 but dressed like the 16 & 17 yr olds dress today. Are they singing/rapping about G or PG rated things? Or will they sing/rap about things that Hannah Montana wouldn’t even be allowed to think about at their age? When African American people put their kids in the spotlight like this, we rarely think of the big picture. How will this affect their future? Tiny & Toya seemed engulfed enough in being in the spotlight. These kids may be headed down a road of distruction. I will keep them in my prayers.

We as black people have to stop supporting stuff like this if we don’t want it on our TV sets… I was listening to Tom Joyner on the radio the other morning and Tiny and Toya was getting the same or higher ratings as Black in America, can’t remember which one it was. But we say we won’t positive shows about black people on TV but it seems we always support negative stuff. I haven’t watched an episode of Tiny and Toya so I can’t really give a true opinion of the show, but I told myself that I would not watch it, truly because I think that they don’t deserve a show. I’m tired of seeing BET give shows to people just because they happen to have famous relatives. They talking about juggling around budgets to fit The Game in their schedule, but they keep throwing away money for stuff like this. I know that MTV is not going to waste their time on this show, so you know good ol’ BET will give them a chance.
