VIA DX:

Kanye West has been known for teaming up with artists and bands outside of the Hip Hop genre from time to time. In the past he’s worked with blues rocker John Mayer, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin, and Def Jam’s own Fall Out Boy. So it’s no surprise to see him collaborating with The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and 30 Seconds to Mars guitarist Jared Leto.

On Kanye’s blog Tuesday, the rapper shared with fans that Flowers and Leto dropped into his studio while he was producing beats for Young Jeezy.

I played them some new Jeezy beats and before everybody bounced Brandon hopped on the keyboard and I hopped on the MPC,” ‘Ye shared. “Shit was dope.”

I’m proud of forward thinking guys like Yeezy for pushing the envelope. I like The Killers and 30 Seconds to Mars!!!

I’ve heard the songs that he’s done with Fall Out Boy, Chris Martin, and John Mayer, and am a fan of all of them, but The Killers and 30 Seconds to Mars don’t have melodic r&b and rap sensibilities like the aforementioned bands do. Can’t say I’m looking forward to it.

Well despite any of his flaws, Kanye is actually a hard worker and for him to not think “outside” the box would be silly. Any dedicated musician should do so.

Despite any of Kanyes flaws, he is definitely a hard working artist and I give it up to him for that. I believe any artist should think outside of the box, shows how creative a person can be.
