In all honesty, I get the writer’s point of view. We hold artist to a higher standard than the casual listener. When they (Raekwon and Kayne) made this decision to come together for this song, they knew they would get young females to like it on the sheer fact of the pop lil boy aspect. On the flip side, if you are a hardcore hip hop fan this will disgust you more than you will enjoy it. For One, when Wu Tang did this song it was a hardcore song. This is a pop crossover attempt that doesn’t go over well. Bieber totally clashes with Raekwon’s verse. I couldn’t even stomach enough to get to the Kanye West stretch. This is just an idea gone terribly bad. It goes to show that they’ll put anything together to make a dollar. Bad collab. I’d think I’d rather hear Fabolous do a song with someone like Beiber than Raekwon. It’s just is a bad fit. Some people are better in a raw format. Could you imagine Beanie Sigel doing a song with Miley Cyrus? That is what this reminds me of.

As a Wu fan and someone who begrudgingly gives Kanye his due recognition, I think that the song is just bizarre… kinda like plunking your ice cream cake in your dinner soup and going to town. The verses are lazy, predictable Wu-punches from over a decade ago, and the song just doesn’t feel like a real complete idea. On the other hand, the boy’s voice is almost unfairly superb considering that he’s not half the artist as ‘Ye or Rae. Just my opinion…

The only reason I can think of that Justin won’t out-sell MJ in concerts is due to the fact that his fans are young and are not able to afford to go to his concerts or their parents won’t pay for them. Maybe JUSTIN is not a bigger superstar but TODAY he is.
