RZA’s beat for Wu-Tang Clan’s “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothin’ To F**k Wit” forms the basis for Kanye West’s remix of Justin Bieber’s “Runaway Love” featuring Raekwon.
Rap Up TV asked RZA what he thought about the remix on the red white carpet at Sunday’s MTV VMAs.
“I think it’s crazy and it’s great because the song, ‘Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothin’ To F’ Wit,’ is a hard song and to hear Justin Bieber on top of that song, it just shows that it’s like an old Kung Fu theory. It says, ‘Be hard as steel, soft as cotton.’ I think music allows us to do that. Like Bruce Lee said, ‘Be like water, my friend.’”
