Wyclef Is Considering Running For President Of Haiti

Wyclef Jean is mulling over a career change.

“I can’t sing forever,” the Fugees star told CNN after a published report from Canadian publican Le Droit said that ‘Clef was considering a career in politics.

‘Clef says he’s filled out the proper paperwork in case he decides to go through with it, but he says he’s still thinking it over.

“Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward,” said a statement released by his foundation.  “At this time, Wyclef Jean has not announced his intent to run for Haitian president. If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.  Please let us know if we can help with anything else.”

    Being half hatian myself, I think it will be a good thing. This man knows wealth and is used to wealth. When you take a poor man who has never known wealth and power and you give it too him, that is ALL HE THINKS ABOUT. I do not thing Wyclef will become so corrupt like the past leaders of haiti, he will be under so much media attention, wierd actions would inpact his leadership HEAVILY. He is a loved musician who is not perfect, but he is the best candidate I can thing of for Haiti that is willing to run.

    I feel it coming on, it is making me feel good, Run Wyclef Jean, he will be a great president, I think all black people love this man, that is all he needs to wil. Haiti is what you need. Kick the thugs out.

    He is an attention seeker. I just wish he take the time to educate himself so he doesn’t look so stupid in public. Also, wasn’t he accused of some shady business that involved his self made charity organization for Haiti? I do not think he is President material, this would put the country back to the Baby Doc era.

    Where is the money for these people. I feel giving to the Wyclef Pocket is only a game. Where is the money? These people need help, and I feel that Wyclef have NOT shown me a breakdown on how the money was spent, I really feel he can’t do anything for his people. Show US some figures, on how the money was spent, or can you! You didn’t get mine in your Wyclef project!
