Young Jeezy Chills In New Ice Cube Flick

Ice Cube has recently cast the multi-platinum rapper Young Jeezy in his upcoming comedy film, Janky Promoters. This will be Ice Cube’s first screenplay since the 2002 Friday After Next. Cube and Jeezy will star in the film alongside Friday veterans Mike Epps and Terry Crews.

Cube and Epps play two shady concert promoters who get in way over their heads when they attempt to book a big name hip-hop act (played by Jeezy). Problems arise when the neighborhood nemesis, Mondo, shows up looking for a piece of the action. Undoubtedly, the competition and confrontation that ensues will be painfully hilarious.

Janky Promoters is currently in production and will be directed by Marcus Raboy and released by Dimension, a subsidiary of the Weinstein Company. This will be Young Jeezy’s first starring role in a major film. The rapper has previously released two platinum albums, and will release his third major album, The Recession, in August 2008.
