Serena Williams Hit With Record Fine
Number one tennis player, Serena Williams was hit with a fine and two years of probation for her outburst at this year’s US Open.
If she commits another major violation at a Grand Slam event in 2010 or 2011, the International Tennis Federation’s Grand Slam committee could suspend Williams from the US Open for up to three years.
Williams was fined a record $175,000 dollars which could be reduced to $82,500 if she stays on behaves herself for the next two seasons.
