Stars Line Up To Celebrate Pac’s 38th B-Day

By AllHipHop June 16, 2009 11:29 am

Afeni Shakur has confirmed the participation of more celebrities for today’s (June 16) Atlanta celebration of her son’s birthday.

The idea for the event originated with co-host Mike Epps, who worked hard to fit in the festivities with his national comedy tour commitment, and two new movies in “Next Day Air” and “Janky Promoters.”

The benefit concert will take place in the Tupac Amaru Center for the Arts, and feature appearances from Big Boi, Dungeon Family, Playas Circle, Bun B, Lil Scrappy, Young LA, B.o.B., and Eightball and MJG.

Along with Mike Epps, hosting duties will be handled by Dead Prez member M-1.

While attending the concert, first-time visitors to the Stone Mountain facility can experience the rotating exhibits, gift shop, 6-acre Peace Garden, and purchase Tupac memorabilia.

TO DAVETTAALASHELY I understand what your saying but In the meantime we would like to celebrate his life just like you celebrate your life and birthday

look i have not read all the comments on here but im pretty sure people still celebrate martin luther king jrs birthday and are not worshipping him. so IF AND I DO MEAN IF People are um worshipping 2pac which im sure they are not then they need to stop. There are more people that do worship GOD all the time and im one that worships God and celebrates Black History by acknowledging thier birthdays.

LMOA and shaking my head to all of comments worshiping a dead man. What has this society come to. As was said earlier, we need to worship the Creator not the created. Wake up people.

People why do you worship the creation instead of the Creator. Pac is dead, he cant hear, or see your messages to him. However there is one who can and His name is Jesus!. He came to earth, died, and rose again. You can party all night because of a dead man’s birth day, but cant sit for two hours in church to hear how, and why Jesus came to die to save you from sin and death?? It puzzles me so how much people can say how they love something or someone who they never met and yet they cant stand the one who they will meet when it comes to their appointed time. Jesus is coming back, and looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Tupac was just a man, but Jesus is all man and God. And he loves you more than I can explain. Find out for yourself.

And I’m from Harlem. I was at an event set up for Malcolm X’s B-Day. No one knew Malcolm X neither and we still celebrated “hi life” just like they do Tupac.

@ Cali…If you’ve never sat down and listen to his “poetry”, then you don’t know why so many people and rappers look up to him.

Why don’t these people let this man rest in peace??? 2Pac didn’t go on vacation! He was MURDERED! Happy birthday, my ass! If they can’t tell me who did it and put the mofo in jail, then I don’t wanna hear this s**t! How does a man get gunned down in front of all those witnesses and nobody saw nothing? Bulls**t and more bulls**t!

Ummm I dont know what Tupac even did during his life to merit this kind of ‘worship’….I find it amazing that there are a million pages of happy b-day Pac on here, BUT when it was Malcolm-X birthday…there were about 12 comments listed….thats a damn shame black folks idolize who they do…
