This is the news we desperately wished we would never have to report. Hip-Hop legend DMX, born Earl Simmons, has passed away at 50.

With the release of the rapper's first posthumous album in Exodus, fans on social media are saluting the bars from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and the core collective of Griselda.

Prayers are needed for DMX. The Yonkers rapper reportedly overdosed on Friday night (April 2) and is currently hospitalized in serious condition.
