I am a fan of hip hop of course, Brooklyn we go hard !
But this is not a hip hop web site. A lot of societies problems come from the messages that most rap music sends especialy artists like Biggie. I am not sayin he was a bad guy or an artist, I am just saying with all the problems in the “Black” community that this site complains about they are feeding the negativity by putting someone like Biggie on pedestal.

Wow. Blackdiamond, it is amazing that in this day in age, we still fail to appreciate art for what it is ART. We have literature, paintings, movies and music that have been praised for centuries, that depict crime, poverty, homelessness, love, wealth, sickness, political oppression, heaven, hell, war, violence, life, love, death, success, and failure. However, we continue to put the burden on what ails the black community on hip-hop. These artists, in the purest form speak for those of us who cannot, will not or have not been as blessed to tell the story of our struggles the way that they do!! If not for some of these lyrics, then a lot of the issues that we have seen for decades in the black community, would only be issues to the black community. I feel like a lot of the music that we demonize, is a simple reflection of the environment and culture in which these gifted, poetic, ARTISTS are so tired of having to exist in.

Lol rayduce, Listen to the lyrics he refers to females as b***hes and hoes, Listen to the song player hater a song about robbing people. I have been to hip hop concerts where they refer to the female crowd as all yall b***hes. Would you want your daughter going to one of his concerts ? I see a lot of articles complaining about a lot of things on here and then give props and promos to rappers who are glamourizing violence and drugs. The only positive and real rapper I can think of is Will Smith. When was the last time you herd of a rapper preaching anti violence and drugs ?

LOL YALL ARE FUNNY.. I ENJOY HIP HOP MUSIC BUT I’M MORE OF A REGGAE HEAD..WE CAN’T BLAME MUSIC FOR THE ACTIONS OF OUR RACE… IT’S NOT JUST MEN DAT CALL FEMALES B***HES, I HEAR FEMALES CALL EACH OTHER BYTCH OR HOE.. I HEAR MEN GREET WITH THE “WHAT UP NIGGA”?..THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE OUT OF LOVE BUT IN THE END IT IS AN INSULT.. WHEN I LISTEN TO BIGGIE OR ANY OTHER RAPPER I TAKE OUT THE GOOD AND I LEAVE THE NEGATIVE..I DON’T KNOW ABOUT A MOTHER BEING ON DRUGS OR FATHERS LIVING OUTSIDE OF THE HOME..BUT I TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY’RE COMING FROM AND I TRY TO EDUCATE MYSELF ON ALL ASPECTS OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD NOT JUST THE BLACK RACE.. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND YOU WILL LEARN MORE THEN JUST THE LYRICS OF A RAP SONG.. I DON’T TAKE A OFFENSE TO THE B***H LYRICS BECAUSE I’M NOT A B***H.. AND ANOTHER THING WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO FIND THE NEGATIVE IN ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH AFRICAN AMERICANS? WHY CAN’T WE JUST SAY “CONGRATS” OR “I’M SO PROUD OF YOU”?? WHY CAN’T WE JUST BE HAPPY FOR BIGGIE EVEN AFTER DEATH HE IS STILL MAKING A MARK IN AMERICAN.. THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS BECAUSE THE FAMILY FOUNDATION ISN’T THERE..THAT’S ANOTHER STORY ALL IN IT SELF…
