Herald Camping is a special man, so special that he is predicting the end of days will begin tomorrow at 6pm. There is much confusion as to what is going to happen on May 21st, 2011; is it the end of the world? God is coming back! A massive earthquake will strike killing many people…

Harold Camping is the leader of a Christian radio group called “Family Radio,” and pumped tons of money into his campaign to enlighten human beings of the Rapture aka the Second Coming. The Rapture is a section in the bible describing the end of times. Christians believe that Jesus will take the faithful to heaven and the rest of us will be left to perish.

So basically tomorrow isn’t the end of the world but in Herald’s eyes the beginning of the end.

It says in the Rapture:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, in which Paul cites “the word of the Lord” about the return of Jesus to gather his saints.

… and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

“Camping gained notoriety due to his prediction that the Christian Rapture will take place on May 21, 2011 and that the end of the world will take place five months later on October 21, 2011. Followers of Camping claim that around 200 million people (approximately 3% of the world’s population) will be raptured. As for the remainder of the human population, Camping himself believes in annihilationism, which is the view that those who are not saved will simply cease to be conscious rather than spend eternity in Hell. Those who were “unsaved” and died prior to May 21 will not be affected by or experience the Rapture or the end of the world.”
