Much respect to the brother.I respect anybody who can open up the way he did and express that he really does care and that he makes mistakes and can still move on.He’s still one of the best players in the league, hands down.I think his only downfall was that he forgot to never give up on what you love to do and I’m glad he’s back where he belongs,on the court….Mistakes at times make better people.
I do have much respect for A.I. He’s grown a lot since he first came to NBA. I’m also surprised no one is calling him gay or “suspect” for crying. Because now days, a man can’t do sh*t without someone saying he’s gay SHM. But anyway, got love for dude BUT, there’s no way he’s winning a championship with Sixers. Sorry folks…
Its all good A.I. you will always be my favorite NBA player.Theres nothing wrong with a little sensitivity once in awhile but I have much love and respect for you keeping it real.Your one of the realest players out there who keeps it 100%.We need to stop putting our own people down, shyt let the man cry u dont know what he’s going through right now.Keep ballin because your day is coming A.I.

I LOVE U A.I.!! HE IS 1 OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS 2 EVER PLAY BASKETBALL N HE HAS HEART!! BEING BORN N RAISED IN PHILLY, HE BROUGHT A LOT 2 THE SIXERS NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS!! I PERSONALLY LOVE A MAN WHO CAN OPEN UP N SHOW HIS EMOTIONS N STILL NO DOUBT B ALL MAN AT THE SAME TIME!! VERY MOVING N TOUCHING!! HE IS SO PASSIONATE N IM A FAN 4 LIFE!!
A lot of great players, especially when they’re young, think that they are invincible. They believe that they’re the greatest in the game so, no matter what they do, they’ll remain employed, etc… I call it the “Terrell Owens” syndrome (i.e. a great player, solely because he’s a cancerous team killer, gets bounced around from organization to organization until finally the league has had enough).
I understand the “wake up call” crying and all of that (T.O. did it too)and I understand the pressure that these guys go through. However, at the end of the day all pro sports is a business. It’s first and foremost a job so it’s the player’s job to protect his job. Iverson, like so many other young and foolish players, took a lot for granted. He didn’t see age coming, didn’t realize that one day he’d get slower and less agile, and didn’t give much consideration to his lasting legacy. What he did do was play well when he felt like doing so and then bulked the system otherwise. Refusing to attend practice, showing up late, refusing to adhere to the dress code, being argumentative, etc….were all a sign of his immaturity and lack of professionalism. He said he’s matured, I sincerely hope so.
If basketball is all he has, then he should appreciate it. I so tire of hearing pro athletes saying “we’re human too” as if they are in denial about the fact that people admire pro athletes in the same way as they do other celebrities.
I wish him well and hope he’s successful on and off the court. He should cut those little girl braids (it’s over) and learn how to work hard for what he’s given. He had to learn the hard way because he refused to listen and has very little self discipline. Who wants to hear someone say “I’ll mess up again” as if they have no control over their own actions? Allen needs to take a big boy pill! Let him work a regular job, for regular money, for a week and he’ll have something to really cry about!
Well I hope and pray that everything works out for Allen Iverson…the league hasn’t really been the same…Wow…this is sad…I’m sorry about that AI…Well pick up the pieces and do what you gotta do to at least keep a job then, even if it means going across seas…I support ya…a man have to do what a man have to do to keep bread on the table. And besides, it’s a great experience; you’ll learn the different types of culture and all…it may educate you so when you do come back to the states you will have something maybe even to write about :) LOVE YA AI!
