I swear that it’s becoming harder to tell the difference between reality and parody. On this freaky Friday some of my fellow alcoholics were tweeting about a new vodka called “Nut Liquor.” Yes. Nut. Liquor.

This peanut flavored vodka is 69 Proof liquor that is “distilled to taste like the center of a peanut butter cup, with no harsh after taste.” While this may be yummy to some, George Washington Carver may be spinning in his grave over the name.

But seriously, ladies and gents, would you feel comfortable ordering a shot of “Nut Liquor” at the bar?

Lindsay Lohan names Kombucha tea as the cause of her failing a court-ordered alcohol test last week. Her claim seems a bit suspect since Kombucha tea contains less than .05% alcohol. In April, she was sentenced to four months on house arrest for stealing a necklace from a jewelry store in January 2011 in Venice, CA. In court yesterday, the judge lowered expectations and ruled to allow Lohan to drink alcohol during her probation.

Lohan told TMZ, “I’d like to do what I must to get my film career back and the respect of directors, actors, writers, studio heads, fans and so on.”

But as always, actions speak louder than words.
