What is there to say about Amber Rose when so much about her life has been speculated about and placed on the internet for public consumption? Actually, a lot. After speaking to her, you come to realize there’s more to her than a famous ex-boyfriend, a new celebrity boyfriend, and nude photos. Amber Rose is a genuinely nice person. The fact she is a cool person is slightly shocking if you tend to believe the hype written on massive amounts of blogs.

I had a chance to have a brief sit down with the Smirnoff spokesperson at the Master of the Mix finale event in Atlanta this past weekend. Our conversation ranged from the inspiration behind the hair cut she’s made ubiquitous, the album she’s currently working on, and if she ever regrets getting emotional during interviews when answering questions about a certain someone in her past.

TUD: How did you get approached to be a judge on Master of the Mix?

AR: I initially got approached to do the Whipped and Fluffed ad campaign for Smirnoff. Smirnoff felt I was good for Whipped and Fluffed because whipped is kind of like the bad girl and fluffed is like the good girl. I’m a little bit of both. Then, Master of the Mix came along and they were like, “Amber, you host parties all around the world and you’re a party goer. I think it would be good to get your opinion on the DJs. You would be representing the people who are on the dance floor.” I was with it and I’m really thankful that I did it because it really turned out great.

A lot of people have asked why you are on the show and things like that. How hard was it for you to convince people you actually were on the show representing the party goer’s aspect and not trying to feign like you had any expertise in scratching or mixing?

Totally. I definitely had to explain myself quite a few times because people didn’t understand that DJs don’t DJ for other DJs. They DJ for the people that are in the crowd dancing to their music. I’m really giving my opinion for you guys, those who are at the party. When it comes to the technical stuff like the scratching, that’s not my expertise. That’s up to Kid Capri and Vikter Duplaix. I’ve had to explain that to people quite a few times and I think people are starting to get that now.

Yeah. Now that it’s at the end of the show’s season.

[laughs] Exactly.

Being that it gets talked about all the time, I need to ask you about your fashion sense. How did you come up with your style?

Actually, since I was a little girl, I always dressed very crazy and mismatched. You know, kind of like Punky Brewster. My mom always encouraged me to be an individual. I would literally look crazy and my mom would say, “Baby, you look beautiful! Go out there and rock it! Don’t care what anyone says about you.” So I would go to school and girls would be like, “Amber, you look crazy. You look a mess.” My response was, “Well, my mom says I look dope!” My mom just gave me the confidence to put on whatever made me feel good. That’s why I wear my clothes with confidence.

How did the haircut come along? What was the inspiration for rocking a shaved head?

I love Sinead O’Connor! She was just so beautiful and such a rebel. She had the Public Enemy symbol drawn on her head and she was very outspoken. I really looked up to her. When I was 19 and old enough to make my own decisions, I would tell my friends, “You guys, I really just want to shave my f**king head!” They were like, “You’re gonna look crazy, Amber!” Based off the confidence my mom instilled in me, I didn’t care what they thought. I went and I did it and I’ve had this haircut for nine years now.

Do you ever consider going back to wearing wigs or anything?

No! I lose all my swag when I have hair. It gets stuck to my lipgloss and in my lashes.

So tell me about your new song. Are you working on an album or are you just putting out the song?

Nope. I’m working on an entire album. My first single is “Fame” featuring Wiz Khalifa. It was very appropriate to put that song out first because it’s about the pros and cons of being famous. I know a lot of people in the world want to be rich and famous, flying in private jets, but there’s so much more to being famous than that. There are people criticizing everything you wear and everything you do. Anything you say can be used against you. You can’t fully voice your opinion when you’re famous because you’ll be under so much scrutiny.

Speaking of that, you’ve gotten emotional in interviews and everything like that. Do you sometimes regret getting so emotional over a question or an answer, knowing that you are one of the most criticized people on the internet these days?

I feel like that was something important for me to get out. It’s very true. Being criticized and having things thrown at me by people is very difficult. Dealing with the fact that somebody that we both know made an entire album tearing me apart is just not fair. I felt like that was something I had to let out and now I no longer talk about it.

Amber Rose’s attempts to build a buzz for her new single, “Fame,” have been futile. In spite of nobody really caring about Rose singing, she and Wiz Khalifa released their joint track this morning. The track is quite vapid and lacks substance. Did you expect anything different? “Fame” is reminiscent of Cassie’s off-key whispering with a wack ghost written verse from Diddy. Here’s what Amber Rose had to say of her new single:

“I’m so excited to release my first song… It’s CRAZY! Working with Wiz is a dream come true; I am fortunate to have his support.

This is a very personal song to me that I wanted to record for my fans. I want people to see the world from my eyes, you know, from BEHIND MY SHADES! It’s my interpretation of what it means to be “FAMOUS,” which is not something superficial but instead being self-confident and happy with who you are.

You can feel famous everyday if you believe in yourself!”

I’ll say this—I didn’t even know about it. This is my 50th interview today and every single person has asked me, and it made me go see what the hell they were talking about, because I don’t keep up on the current events of Kanye. But I did look at it and he said that, he said um, “When I said that I didn’t like your dress, I was an asshole. When I said that I didn’t like your hair, I was an asshole.” And he was an asshole. He was. I feel like he gets that know, and he’s remorseful about being an asshole to me. But he called me an incredible person, and I take that as an apology. And if it was an apology, I forgive him. For being an asshole.

Amber Rose was recently spotted in Africa with Trey Songz, and rumors immediately began circulating that she was cheating on Wiz Khalifa. But Amber Rose set the record straight this morning (September 28th) on “The Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show” on Hot 97.

So what was she doing with Mr. Steal Yo Girl? According to Amber, they just hosted an event together.

When asked if Wiz gets jealous, Amber made it clear that she shows her love for him on a daily basis and said, “We’re really, really in love.” Amber added, “I’ve never loved like this…I would die for him.”

Hate it or love it, Natalie Nunn has become the poster girl for the Oxygen network’s hit reality show “Bad Girls Club.” She was cast as the socialite on season 4, yelling out her catch phrase “I Run L.A.” However, she has definitely moved on from socialite to celebrity after appearing on the show.

Natalie Nunn is currently receiving more than the15 minutes of fame that most reality stars receive after their show ends. It’s going on almost two years since season 4 has ended and Natalie is still being mentioned on blogs. Perez Hilton said “Natalie Nunn has become a brand” and he just might be right. She recently landed the cover of Black Men Magazine and the lead in videos by rappers Yung Berg, Wale and J. Cole. Nunn also recently shot her first movie, Stalker.

Being a bad girl is hard and sometimes Natalie finds herself getting into some Drama while working hard on her brand. Check out the exclusive interview below where she speaks on Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Fabolous and what it was like kissing Lil’ Kim on the lips.

TheUrbandaily: On bad girls club, you stirred a lot of things up…
Natalie Nunn: I was just being me to be honest. It’s a little bit of being provoked. There were six other girls in the house; I think anybody would have stirred things up and acted up like I did.

It’s been about two or three seasons since you were on Bad Girls Club?
It used to be they did one season a year. And then after my season, they started doing two seasons a year. So actually, I think it’s just hit the two year mark.

So are you trying to say Natalie Nunn made it hot?
(Laughs) I think I just stirred it up enough with a little bit of humor and fun and real bad girl, and everybody just started tuning in more. The numbers doubled. And the popularity of the show nearly tripled tripled tripled tripled tripled don’t think I did all the work, but I think I put the icing on the cake.

You pop a lot of ish. What’s up with that?
I feel like I’m the type of person who is always going to keep it real. I’m never going to let a lie come out of my mouth. At the end of the day, if I have something to say, I’m going to say what I want to say. Even my managers, even my lawyers, even my team — they want me to maybe tone it down. But what got me to where I am now is me being me. So if I have something to say, I’m not going to change now because it’s not politically correct. I’m still always going to be Natalie. And I feel like in the industry right now, [being me] is considered talking a lot of ish, because a lot of people are not real. They’re not going to tell you how it is. They’re not going to tell you they don’t like your hair. And I don’t just randomly pop off just to pop off. Every time I have something to say it’s because a situation happened or someone did something to me or someone said something. That’s when you’re going to get Natalie “talking-a-lot-of-ish” Nunn. I’m not going to not say what I want to say. I will say what I want to say, and if you don’t like it (mumbles) then do something about it. Hollywood is people trying to be “politically correct”. But at the end of the day, let’s all keep it real, we’re all human beings. Everybody’s not going to be friends.

What was the deal with you and Wiz Khalifa?
We were just friends. That’s pretty much where it was. I had a love show that was about to air, Love Games. And I had just finished wrapping up the show. There were a lot of things in my contract that I wasn’t able to do. And you know…it was…um…yeah…we were friends.

Did you see Amber Rose’s Nude pictures.
I really don’t have a comment about that. (Chuckles)

So No press for Amber Rose who you said got your sloppy seconds. So did you and Wiz Khalifa have sex?
No, I just don’t have a comment on that.

Are you single?
I’m single focusing on the projects that are about to come out. I did just shoot a movie Stalker. I just been working. I been working so much I had to take a break because I wore myself out. It’s about Natalie the bad girls brand and giving my fans what they want. I feel like having a guy in my life right now would take away from that.

Have you and Fabolous squashed the beef?
It’s really funny, because I feel like the beef between me and Fabolous just keeps going back and forth. Sometimes it’s directly, sometimes it’s indirectly. Fabolous just put out a video last week. And the music video had my ex-best friend that I grew up with since we were in diapers — he put her as the only girl in his video. So he tries to do little things to get my attention. And I don’t care what he says, I don’t care what people want to believe and disbelieve, but the girl in his video is half Asian, half black, he didn’t even know her, and she’s never done a music video in her life — so he went out of his way to put her in his music video. And when he posted the link for it, all of my fans on Twitter were like, “Isn’t that your ex-best friend?” He wanted a response, and I didn’t give it to him. It’s almost like these guys are trying to get some of my publicity, even if it’s indirectly. Because if I go in on somebody, it will be a trending topic. I don’t care who they think they are or how many fans they have, it will bring a different audience to them. These guys are rappers, or these guys are comedians. I am on a reality show that everybody in the world watches. I bring a whole different audience to their life.

Did you and Fab have a thing going on or something?
No. I met him one time. I was in New York City before my season of Bad Girls Club had aired. But everybody knew: they were running commercials, my picture was in all of the magazines, Bravo TV was promoting it. I got invited to go backstage at one of his shows, and people tweeted the pictures. And one time he was in California and invited me to go to the studio and hang out, and I didn’t go. Ever since that day, it was drama. Like, “Who does she think she is?”

I know you don’t take that twitter beef and what bloggers have to say seriously, right?
I don’t care. If people are extremely entertained by what I am doing, then I am doing my job.

How was it kissing Lil’ Kim on the lips?
I enjoyed every minute of hanging out with Lil’ Kim and that kiss was the most amazing day of my life. She was my generation of bad girls when I was young. That’s what I listened to. Her inviting me to hang out with her in Miami was more than a dream come true I don’t care how lame that sounds. She’s a legend in the game for over a decade.

Do you have beef with the other Bad Girl Leah?
We didn’t see eye to eye on the actual Love Games show. But I wouldn’t say we have beef because I can actually dig some of Leah’s ways. Leah’s not that bad.

I felt like Leah was fake, like she was trying to be a carbon copy of you. Do you feel the same?
You have to remember that a lot of these girls that are coming on the show after me are seeing the difference in the success level [of the show]. And I have to respect some of these girls. I really cannot knock them; I cannot be mad at what they’re trying to do. Leah is coming from watching me on my season to watching herself on her season and thinking, “Damn, what did I do wrong? Natalie’s over here gettin’ it and this whole empire is based off of Natalie being on season 4. I gotta switch up my ish so I can get right.” And especially when they’re given that opportunity for love games, that’s their second chance. She’s like, “I gotta go in there and act like” however she wanted to act. I don’t know if she wanted to act harder or whatever, but the audience knows.

So The reality show isn’t fake; some of the girls are fake?
That’s probably the best way to put it, because reality TV is what you make of it. You could act bourgeois, but at the end of the day, people can tell if you really come from money or if you’re really a bad girl. This is a personality show. We’re years into reality TV. So people know what’s real and what’s fake.

Where do you plan on taking Natalie Nunn the bad girl brand?
My brand is obviously bad ass. I mean I’m just going to be honest. Its bad girls in different lights, the brand is Bad Girl. Any girl in her eyes is bad. If your a stripper, ride or die chick, girl who gets money, or a bad girl that just graduated and got her masters. Its all across the board. I plan on having more reality shows which are currently in the making. I have Black Men magazine cover and I’m starring in “Bad Girls Club” music video by Wale and J. Cole.

How was it working with Wale and J.Cole?
That was a fun set. That video is gonna be awesome. People are going to really love it. I can’t wait for it to come out. It was my first major music video. Its called Bad Girls Club, who else would they put as the lead girl.

How is it that does Natalie Nunn runs L.A.?
I been in LA since I was in College and it not one party Natalie didn’t go too. I was really a nobody at all the popping parties. All the promoters knew me. The statement was something I would say to my friends and it carried on to the TV show and now I really run LA because I said it so much it don’t matter if I’m at a restaurant and the line is out the door I’m sitting first. I’m in and out of everything. That statement came to life. The first thing Wiz Khalifa said to me in his own city in Pittsburgh. Everybody knows that’s my catch phrase. Boom!

Amber rose has been facing heavy scrutiny since she first started dating rapper Kanye West. Her bald head, sexy and edgy look kept her a constant target for media to adore and also attack. She and Wiz Khalifa are allegedly married now(even more reason to poke and prod) and to back that rumor she refers herself as a “a great wife” in her latest blog posting.”

“U do something positive in this industry u get scrutinized I really came to the conclusion that its not even about me its the fact that I’m a woman. Men in the entertainment industry are praised constantly for their ” wrong doings”. if ur a drug dealer and u took care of ur family before ur fame everyone understands. If u get shot in the mist of u hustling ur cool as f*ck. If a mans naked pics hit the internet ppl think its cute or funny then just talk about how big he is. A Man can date 20 models at the same time and he is respected by the world and if a girl does it she’s a disgusting whore and a “Star F*cker” Women get destroyed by the media and our peers constantly but I am writing this to specifically speak about myself.
“Regardless of the fact I dated Kanye for 2 years or the fact I was a stripper at 15 years old or that my most private pics were stolen from me and a new batch hit the internet every week, I am a human being. Every girl reading this has an ex boyfriend and every guy reading this is most likely dating a girl that has been with more then 1 guy. So what have I done to everyone? Its it because u think I am undeserving of this life because of my past? Or is it pure hatred? If I was a man and dated 2 female artist would that be ok? Thats not as bad right? Bulls—. And the one thing that is extremely upsetting is the fact that woman criticize me more then men do. When I first saw this photo of Amber Rose posing with a group of young black children, I didn’t think anything of it. Amber took a trip to Ghana because she was invited to host the annual Vodaphone O20 concert. Apparently people were upset that she decided to post a picture depicting the poverty in Ghana rather than the richer population. She was bombarded with negative responses. A writer for Ghana Web said:

“Did I hear Amber Rose say there are no middle class people in Ghana? And it is either people are extremely rich or extremely poor? I am a living testimony and a true proof that, she is totally uninformed about Ghanaians.

I am not extremely rich and neither am I extremely poor to be living in gutters or dirt as she puts it. I am a middle class Ghanaian and my family has always been middle class. There are several middle class Ghanaians out there living comfortably and not in dirt.

It is absurd enough to bring Amber Rose to Ghana to headline a concert as the only decent credibility this chick carries around is ‘ex-girlfriend of Kanye West’. I therefore expected that she should at least be coached if she is dumb enough not to know that we have middle class Ghanaians.

Not only did Amber Rose parade her ignorance as far as the economic strata of Ghanaians/Africans are concerned, she also presented her view as if there are no poor people in America where she comes from. There are people out there in America living in far disgusting conditions than those she spotted in Ghana.

If someone like Amber Rose wants to comment on Ghana, the best is for her to be informed on what she is saying…And why does she think Ghana is entirely Africa? Gosh! Africa is a continent, Ghana is a country and she just visited Ghana, we have 53 countries in Africa.”

Amber apologized saying:

“People have to understand that this is my first time in Africa. This is not my culture. I have never been here so if I said anything to hurt anyone’s feelings then I am really, really sorry. I saw that a lot of people on twitter said ‘don’t just show the poverty, show the rich people’. But for me, the rich people aren’t doing anything for the little kids and the people that are living in poverty so I don’t want to go hang out with the rich people.

I wanted to see the kids in poverty. I grew up very poor. So I wanted to go see them, help them, talk to them and inspire them to let them know they could possibly be somebody great. They can be somebody great. So I want everyone in Ghana to know that I wasn’t just saying that ‘Ghana is a poor country and no one should ever come here.’ Anyone that I have spoken to about Ghana since I have been here, I have been saying that it’s such an amazing place. And I’m sorry for not posting pictures of rich people, but it just wasn’t for me to do.”

She also added:”

“I think everyone in the States, they have a perception of Africa that it is all dirt roads, people are extremely poor. What I’ve noticed about Africa, since I’ve been here is, that people are either extremely rich or extremely poor. There is no middle class at all.”
