“The appeal process is done, finally, it’s been done for about a month now,” Max B. told AllHipHop.com. “So now what they do is, the prosecutor responds back and you get a letter. They tell you, you gotta wait eight to 10 months for a response from the appellate court.”

Max is confident that he won’t have to wait that long to hear back from the appellate court. “You might see me in the summer, you might see me at the end of the year,” Max B. said. “I’m just waiting on the appellate courts. All my paperwork is done.”

“I loved that song,” Jim says with a huge grin. “I remember being in the studio helping moms do the verse in the booth. Cam got frustrated and said ‘I’m not doing this no more! If you want her to do it you get her do it!’ Shout out to mom. She thugged it out with me that night and got it together. That was a fun song.”

Jim has held almost every job imaginable in the record business but the rapping bug bit him when he saw how much money his comrades were making. Watch the clip to see how he went from sidekick to Capo.

Taso Pardalis, a lawyer for the two women, claim that they didn’t know the footage would be used for a music video. “They knew they were being filmed,” Pardalis says. “But they didn’t know they were going to be used in a video without their permission.”

“They were prancing about in the water and in the moment, they kind of went along with it,” Pardalis continued. “But you can see one of the girls in the video cover up immediately when she realized they were being filmed.”

Johnson and Stotts have sued Jones and Sony Music Entertainment and are seeking to stop further distribution of the video, which has been viewed on YouTube over 30,000 times.

1) A Tribe Called Quest

Last heard: On 1998′s “The Love Movement”
Legacy: After signing a demo deal with Geffen Records, Tribe released five albums together, including their classic 1993 album, “Midnight Marauders.” But they broke up in 1998, partly due to issues with their label Jive Zomba and put out solo projects.
Chances of reuniting: Not very likely. Tribe is actually scheduled to perform the MM album in its entirety at this summer’s Rock The Bells shows. But a true Tribe reunion has been discussed so many times in the past now, we have a hard time believing it will ever actually happen. Maybe they’ll surprise us one of these days..

Quick, name all of the members of Young Money. Taking you a minute huh? With the movie The Expendables opening today we began to wonder about those expendable members of the most popular rap groups.

What makes them expendable? If you can’t name them right way is an easy indicator, but if the group manages to do just fine without them that could be a sign that they haven’t made the strongest impression on the masses. Not to mention, quite a few of the members of this list had their expendable status established during jail bids.

Maybe they are doing a whole lot behind the scenes that we aren’t aware of but at least to the naked eye, here are the nine most expendable group members–ever.

9. Jarobi, A Tribe Called Quest

Yes, it’s nice to see him on stage during Tribe reunion shows but when he left the group to go to culinary school not one Tribe fan batted an eye lash.

8. Turk of the Hot Boys

Turk. He’s the one that’s not B.G., Juvenile or Lil Wayne. He’s been busy racking up felonies to increase his street cred for that all important comeback in 2020.

7.Everybody in Young Money except Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj

Take Nicki Minaj and Drake out of this picture and you pretty much have a high school talent show lineup.

6.Freaky Zekey (Dipset)

As Cam’s cousin his spot in Dipset is pretty much assured but if Jaffy Joffer, Juelz and Jimmy reunited without him would you really care?

5.Crunchy Black (3-6 Mafia)

Things have been pretty strained between dancer/rapper Crunchy and 3-6 of late and even they don’t seem to feel they need him around anymore.

4.Amil

Yeah, girls can get it too. While most crews just weren’t complete without a “first lady” she just couldn’t get it together. All she had to do was look cute and recite the rhymes written for her but Hov gave her her walking papers and she’s been MIA ever since. (Not MIA the singer…but GONE.)

3.Taboo (Black Eyed Peas)

Practically the Amber Rose of the Black Eyed Peas no one has ever heard him speak. But thanks to Will.i.am he’s probably rich enough to buy 1000 Nuvo bottle chains and make it rain in 5 states at once.

2. U-God (Wu-Tang Clan)

We thought his appearances on “Triumph” and “Cher Chez La Ghost” were great but if he were to go on another government vacation for this next Wutang album there are like 40 dudes from Sunz Of Man waiting to take his spot in a hurry.

1. Pras (The Fugees)

The undisputed most expendable group member of all. From the inception of The Fugees fans and critics alike called for his expulsion (or replacement with John Forte.)  While we give him dap for introducing Lauryn to Clef in the first place we’d be just as happy if he stuck to making cameos with Sweet Mickey.

Looks like Father’s Day celebrations are starting early. Video and magazine model Kim Bella told radio host Angela Yee that she and rapper Juelz Santana were expecting another baby.

“Life is great,” she said via Twitter. “God has blessed Juelz and I with a second child and a beautiful family.”

Congrats to them both!

Guess they’re going back to the crib for real!

About a month ago, news broke that Jim Jones was slated to teach a music class in a New York City public school.

Today, Jim stopped by The Morning After with Angela Yee to announce that he’d been given the okay to teach the course.

And we’re building on getting back on track but first, I apologize for being a rude brother, for saying things publicly without first trying to handle them privately. I apologize for not leading by example because what I didn’t realize at the time, I was venting but it wasn’t all about me. There were other people whose dreams were also part of this movement. So by not leading by example, they were left stranded too. The way I handled our business issues was with emotion, and it got totally f****d up. That’s what selfishness does….”

Dipset co-founder Cam’ron will expand his entrepreneurial reach with a new company named U.N., which will house a subdivision for artists known as Dipset West.

The initial roster for Dipset West includes Vado, Fly Boyz, Begetz, Charlie Clipse, Young Hustle, and Byrd Lady. Each member of the new team will be featured on Cam’ron’s upcoming Gangsta Grillz Mixtape with DJ Drama, and according to Killa Cam, Vado’s project will drop immediately afterward. “Vado got the streets on smash, and in Harlem, he’s got an unbelievable buzz. Everybody in Harlem already knows what it is.”

Cam’ron has also elected Omar “Iceman” Sharif as CEO and co-owner of U.N. Sharif, who has worked his way up the music and film industry ladder, will handle the music, DVD, and film division for the new company. As Cam’ron explained, “His experience is exactly what we need to make strategic connections at the next level.”

Turning his interests to movies, Cam stated the company has plans to produce a handful, including Killa Season 2. “We got a movie coming out called The Bakery and then we’ll drop the second installment of Killa Season. We’re also discussing the release of The Guy Fischer bio-pic.”

Clearly satisfied with the future of his company, Cam’ron concluded, “When we started Dipset, it was more than just a crew, it was a movement. The U.N. is a continuation of that movement.”

Killa, you never fail to depress me, man. This latest from the Dipset General seems to be filmed with an iFlip and had a G-string sized budget. The song gets some play here in New York. Does it get love in the South? Or even in the Midwest?

Dipset will always be my favorite club rockin’ crew. Better than Flipmode – because they actually had members who came out with solo projects and seemingly gullier than Wu-Tang – the Harlem group has seen its better days.

But on Funkmaster Flex’s show the other night found Jim Jones with a change of heart.

In hopes of clearing up the cause of an ongoing feud between Jim Jones and former Byrdgang member Max B, Paula J. Moore has stepped forward to provide her account of the story.

Moore, who refers to Max B (real name Charly Wingate) as her client, says she was responsible for posting the rapper’s $150,000 bail after he was arrested on charges of attempted murder in 2007 and has a copy of the bail bond to prove it.

“Jim Jones was not interested in helping Max B get released out of jail until he heard that someone was bailing him out,” Moore tells HipHopRuckus.com. “Unbeknown to me, Jim Jones found out that I was going to be bailing Max B out and he went to the jail and convinced Max to sign all his publishing over and loaned him $90,000.”

Moore says she plans to reveal other details about the behind-the-scenes activity of members of Byrdgang as well as other information about the aforementioned murder trial via her upcoming H.O.T. (Harlem on Top) DVD.
