Shady Records rap group Slaughterhouse has a cult-like following. Their fans have been waiting for the supergroup’s Shady Records debut since Eminem announced he signed the foour man team to his label. Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9, Crooked I, and Joell Ortiz announced the name of their debut project will be titled welcome to OUR HOUSE. The album is set to hit music outlets on May15th. Eminem will serve as executive producer as well. Some new music will be available by next week.

Along will their new album, Slaughterhouse is hitting the road in the beginning of March. Take a look at the dates below.

You have to love all three’s rapid paced cadences.

Eminem’s group D12 struck it big with “Purple Pills,” and every non-drug addict and drug addict were singing along. I didn’t realize just how uncensored the uncut version actually was until I was banned by my parents from listening. Geez, bless that Eminem!

“A** Like That”
By the time “A** Like That” came out, Eminem’s career seemed to have taken a backseat for the white rapper. Em introduced a new flow to the world which I couldn’t stand but I loved the beat. Hey, I’m a sucker for that type of stuff!

“My Name Is”
I remember first hearing “My Name Is” on the radio and I instantly memorized every word from each verse. Maybe it was the Dr. Dre infused beat, squeaky Slim Shady voice, or violent lyrics that captured me; whatever it was, it introduced me to one of the greatest rappers to ever do it!

“Lose Yourself”
8 Mile may not be your favorite movie (Mekhai Pheifer in a dread wig isn’t a pretty sight)but I appreciate the motivational music it contrived. “Lose Yourself” is a day-starter and soundtrack to anyone about to walk into a fight!

“Cleaning Out My Closet”
If you think “Cleaning Out My Closet” is some sort of gay man’s anthem (not that anything is wrong with that), then you’d be mistaken! “Cleaning Out My Closet” is a raw-gritty account of his childhood and relationship with estranged mother. Sometimes Eminem prescribes the perfect medicine with his brutish lyrics!

5 Things You Didn’t Know About Nate Dogg

Nate Dogg will forever be hip hop’s favorite hook man. In spite of his recent passing, his legacy lives on through his music and the experiences he shared with friends and peers. The Urban Daily pays homage to the late singer by sharing a few little known facts about hip-hop’s greatest featured player.

1. Served in the U.S. Marines.

At 16, Nate grew bored of the monotony of school. He dropped out of high school and joined the Marine Corps. He communicated, “I wanted to see if I was a man. So I joined the service as a litmus test.” Upon returning to Long Beach, he linked back up with Snoop Dogg and Warren G. The trio began to take their craft seriously and recorded a demo. They christened themselves 213 after their area code.

2. Suge Knight delayed the release of Nate Dogg’s debut album.

Hale’s debut album, G Funk Classics Vol. 1 hit shelves in 1998. G Funk Classics was completed in 1996. The lead single, “Never Leave Me Alone,” was put into moderate rotation. Escalating tensions between Nate Dogg and Death Row resulted in Suge Knight having the album shelved. When Nate Dogg left Death Row in 1997, he attempted to have the disc released on his own imprint, Dogg Foundation. Legal battles between the artist and his former label stalled the album even further. Once released two years after originally intended, critics panned the collection of songs for its dated sound.

3. Nate Dogg is the son of a preacher.

As a child, Nate began singing in his father’s church. His first church solo was at the age of four at Life Line Baptist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He continued to refine his vocals at New Hope Baptist Church. He began attending that church once his family had relocated to Long Beach, California. Soon after, he stopped attending church altogether.

4. Never won a Grammy award.

In spite of being on a gang of hit records, Nate Dogg’s work has never been recognized at any award ceremony. The hip hop crooner has been nominated four times at the Grammy Awards and always went home empty handed. The first nomination came in 1995 when he and Warren G recorded “Regulate.” The most controversial nomination came in 2001. Although featured on the hit, “The Next Episode,” Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were the only people credited with the nod. Thereafter, he received nomination honors for his contributions to Ludacris’ “Area Codes” and Eminem’s “Shake That.”

5. Snoop Dogg’s “Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Cant Have None)” was a personal milestone.

Many were familiar with Nate Dogg’s robust tenor because of his scene stealing performance on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. He, however, felt he still needed to develop his style of singing in minor keys. Everything Nate Dogg envisioned for his style and image was realized on “Ain’t No Fun..” Raunchy and misogynistic lyrics paired with addictive melodies and an unapologetic attitude became his signature because of Snoop’s track.

Beyonce Sells 310,000 In First Week & Other Chart News

Beyonce‘s 4 album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 this week with 310,000 records sold. 4 is Beyonce’s lowest first-week sales for any of her solo releases, her peak was 541,000 for B’Day back in 2006 and Sasha Fierce sold 481,000 it’s first week in 2008. ‘B’ however, is also making waves this week across the pond with 4 landing at the number one spot on UK’s album chart as well.

In other chart news, Adele’s ’21′ fills in the #2 spot with 92,000 sold for a whopping total of 2.5 million sold this year! Kanye West’s protege Big Sean debuts #3 with Finally Famous: The Album selling 87,000 records, after debuting at #1 last week, Jill Scott falls to #5 with The Light of the Sun, with sales of 55,000, and the Eminem and Royce da 5’9″ collabo, Hell: The Sequel, slips three spots to #9 (42,000).

Eminem Breaks Digital Sales Record

When it comes to breaking records in the hip hop arena, Eminem is the man to beat. Besides selling millions of albums in a rapidly declining industry, Em is one of two rappers to have won the Best Rap Album Grammy each time they’ve released a disc. The other person in that club is Kanye West. Today marks another milestone in the career of the Detroit rapper. It was announced that after being released about a year ago, Recovery is the first album to sell a million digital copies.

Interscope’s Vice Chairman Steve Berman stated, “Recovery selling one million digital albums is an incredible achievement by an incredible artist. I have had the pleasure of working with Eminem throughout the course of his career, and I’m delighted to be a part of yet another milestone on his amazing journey.”

Em’s manager, Paul Rosenberg added, “We are thrilled to congratulate Eminem on the history-making digital sales success of Recovery. Over the years we’ve made a concerted effort to engage Em’s online fan base so this achievement is especially rewarding. Eminem made an amazing album with Recovery and the fans responded in record numbers.”

Jay-Z once said “Your bodyguard’s ‘Oochie Wally’ verse was better than yours, Matter fact you had the worst flow on the whole f**kin song” in regards to Nas’ “wack” verse on “Oochie Wally.” This inspired me to look at some other rap collaborations to see who else sucked on their own track. Being a hot rapper is one thing, but jumping on a song with another hot rapper and still remaining “hot” yourself is another thing!

It’s easy – the better verse wins, and sometimes the artist you thought would win-gets bodied!

Before we get into it, peep this line from Kanye West- “This a song with Wayne so you know it’s goin’ melt. But you ain’t finna murder me like everybody else I’m a rap like I got some tight respect for myself,” now that is how every rapper should attack a track!

Eminem has hired MTV’s host Sway Calloway to take over the Shade 45 morning spot. Calloway will be returning to radio with his very own show, “Sway In The Morning.” Sway is no stranger to radio, starting out as the host of the nationally syndicated “The Wake Up Show” with King Tech. The morning show will premiere in July at 8am-12pm. Eminem is pretty excited about Sway joining the Shade 45 roster.

“I got my start on radio with Sway and so it only makes sense for things to come full-circle and have him join the family at Shade 45. I’m looking forward to the honor of Sway making mornings better on Shade 45 on Sirius XM for a long time to come.”

Eminem & Royce Da 5’9″ have announced the title of their forthcoming collaborative EP. The title, Hell: The Sequel, was announced on Eminem’s Twitter account last night at midnight.

The two Detroit natives first teamed up in the late 1990s, releasing a handful of songs under the name Bad Meets Evil. The two had a falling out in the early 2000s and reconciled after the death of D12 member Proof.

Hell: The Sequel will be released on June 14th.

Dr. Dre To Premiere New Single “Die Hard” On May 6th

Dr. Dre will premiere the third official single from Detox on May 6th. “Die Hard” featuring Eminem will premiere after the final episode of Showtime’s Fight Camp 360: Pacquiao vs Mosley at 10pm ET.

If you don’t have Showtime, Fight Camp 360: Pacquiao vs Mosley airs on CBS the following day, May 7th.

Just days after Eminem & Royce Da 5’9 announced the revival and future release of their Bad Meets Evil project, the project’s first single, “Fast Lane,” is released.

We aren’t disappointed in this song at all, and frankly forgot that Eminem could exist outside of a “Love The Way You Lie”-esque pop context.

Eminem & Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5’9 have dusted off their old Bad Meets Evil group project and plan to release an EP of material together in June. The pair of Detroit emcees conceived the project after recording the song “Bad Meets Evil” together for Eminem’s 1999 album The Slim Shady LP.

Fans of Em & Royce had their hopes for a Bad Meets Evil project dashed in 2003 when the two had a public falling out. However, the death of D12 member Proof in 2006 brought them back together.

“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio,” Eminem told AllHipHop.com. “At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.”

The EP, which is currently untitled, will be in stores on June 14th and feature production from Mr. Porter, Havoc, Bangladesh, DJ Khalil and others.

In 2009, Eminem unleashed a verbal attack on Mariah Carey after she released the music video for her hit song “Obsessed.” In the video, Mariah dressed up in grey sweats and Eminem’s signature snap back hat to spoof the rapper. It only turned ugly from there when Eminem released a diss record against her and hubby Nick Cannon–claiming he had slept with Mariah and ejaculated on her stomach. Nick Cannon later challenged him to a duel boxing match, but nothing came of the offer. After two years Cannon is re-opening the flood gates to rile up a beef that seemed squashed.

Nick Cannon is returning to TV with an hour long comedy special Nick Cannon:”Mr. Showbiz” where he comes at Eminem during a rap segment:

With a death toll past 10,000, popular artists like Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Eminem, Rihanna and Cee-Lo have banned together to donate their music in effort to help Japan. The compilation disc is available on Itunes and featured 38 tracks. The charity album is a joint effort between Universal Music Group, Sony Entertainment Music, Warner Music Group and EMI Music.

Eminem is now the most popular artist, living or dead, on Facebook. He has surpassed Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga to become the most-liked artist on the social networking platform.

Eminem has 30,388,497 likes on Facebook. Lady Gaga has 30,199,921 likes on Facebook. Michael Jackson is close behind with just under 30 million.

Fascinating stuff, isn’t it.

We’re certain that if all of Michael Jackson’s fanbase were active on social networks, and we’re talking the older generation that grew up with the Jackson 5 and lived through Jacksonmania in the 80s, he’d be far and above Eminem and Gaga…

Well kiddies, Detox is near. We’ve just got the second video from the mythical Dr. Dre project, the long awaited video for “I Need A Doctor” featuring Eminem & Skylar Grey.

The 7-and-a-half minute video, directed by Allen Hughes of the Hughes Brothers, starts off with Dre speeding down a long and winding road while footage of Dre’s past flashes on the screen. Dre ends up wrecking his nice car and ends up in a coma. Fast forward years later, and Eminem is rapping at his bedside until Dre magically awakens from the coma to spit his verse.
