I’ll be honest and say that 2009 was a disappointment and sitting down to compile 20 different lists of mediocrity was just not my idea of fun. Any year that took away Michael Jackson and DJ Roc Raida gets the gas face. Halle Berry and her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry had date night at the Hollywood Bowl recently to check out rockers Of Montreal and Berry’s former Boomerang costar Grace Jones in concert.

According to People.com, the couple sat in a box seat while the actress and her friends “were dancing up a storm during Jones’s performance.”

Aubry, meanwhile, was content to just rest his chin on Berry’s shoulder. “During ‘La Vie en Rose’ the actress stood up and went crazy and applauded,” a source told the Web site. “It was wild!”

Berry and her pals also jumped to their feet for the closing number, “Pull Up to the Bumper.”

Hurricane Chris just officially killed any progress Black people made in the eyes of the Louisiana state government over the last decade. The Shreveport rapper stands suited in front of the state’s House Chamber and speaks about his appreciation for Halle Berry, of all things. Did the Louisiana state congress not have anything better to do or to legislate on than to listen to somebody that sounds like a 5th grade dropout perform a bootleg “Stanky Leg” song? If you’re familiar with “Halle Berry” than you know it’s pretty lurid and it’s not the most appropriate song to be reciting in front of a state legislative body. Why was he even there speaking? I just hope he wasn’t being honored for his music with a catalog like “Halle Berry” and “Ay Bay Bay”. If he was, God help us all…

Although Jay-Z’s new song, D.O.A. (Death of Autotune) gave T Pain’s signature sound a proper burial, Jamie Foxx doesn’t believe this is the end of the line for the vocoder device.

In a recent interview, the Soloist star said, “Autotune is not dead but that’s Jay-Z and I understand what he’s doing in the hip-hop world.  He’s challenging those guys who are simply relying on it and you know that’s what hip-hop is.”

Jamie went on to discuss Jay Z’s iconic status in music. “But for Jay-Z, he’s a god when it comes to hip-hop. So I’ma ride with him no matter what. I don’t think the song is meant to tell everyone that’s using autotune to stop what they’re doing because you can’t stop a movement.”

Does Jamie have a point? I mean… he DID kiss Halle Berry!

In a week that has seen David Letterman and Al Roker accused of disrespecting women, Jamie Foxx has decided it’s best to answer critics who say his kiss with Halle Berry at a recent awards show was disrespectful to the actress’ boyfriend.

Foxx tells WENN that the whole thing was actually her idea.

“It was a joke,” he said. “First, I want to let everybody know that I respect Halle Berry and I respect her relationship. But after she won the Oscar, Adrien Brody came up and laid a little tongue on her. So she decided to get me back, which I didn’t mind at all.”

And the Oscar winner admits he was so nervous before pulling Berry’s prank, he nearly backed out at the last second.

“I almost froze but I said, ‘Think quick Foxx,’ and I got into it … she really gave it to me and I appreciate that.”

The Ohio beauty was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills showing off her newly chopped ‘do. Starring in the upcoming Nappily Ever After flick, where she actually goes bald, this made be the result of her role. Or it could be just a change up for the summer.
