Mister Cee Arrest Details Leaked

The criminal complaint filed by the arresting officer in the Mister Cee sex scandal has been leaked by TheSmokingGun.com. The report reveals in graphic detail the compromising position that Mister Cee was allegedly in at the time of arrest.

According to the complaint, Mister Cee, born Calvin Lebrun, and Lawrence Campbell (who XXLmag.com claims goes by the name Brooke-Lynn Pinklady on Facebook), were arrested at 3:55AM, not 4:05PM as previously reported, near the Holland Tunnel in Manhattan at the corner of Watts and West streets on March 30th.

The complaint says that the arresting officer observed “Campbell manipulating defendant Lebrun’s exposed, naked and erect penis with defendant Campbell’s mouth and lips in an up-and-down motion consistent with oral sex.”

A source told the New York Daily News that Cee was arrested twice last year on October 8th and November 20th in Manhattan for loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

HOT97 DJ Mister Cee‘s recent arrest for public lewdness has been the talk of the internet for the last 36 hours. Surprisingly, Cee was at his post this afternoon for his weekday slot on the station and addressed the scandal through his song choices.

Cee’s “Throwback At Noon” featured a lot of songs that addressed haters and controversy, such as Nas‘ “Hate Me Now” & “Life’s A B*tch” as well as Jay-Z‘s “What More Can I Say.”

Mister Cee also joined Twitter (@Real_MisterCee) to set the record straight. “Time to clear my name NY,” Cee said in his first tweet. “Stand Up Brooklyn they shootin ( Haters ) this is my city you can’t hurt me lets gooooooooo.”

Cee also invoked the long-rumored hip-hop police squad that targets rappers & DJ’s in the city. “Time to get this sh*t cleared up so make it quick cause i aint feeling this Twitter sh*t NYPD has a detective squad after all Rappers & DJ’S.”

In response to one fan’s tweeted question about the scandal, Cee responded “Nah that sh*t not true.. You know how i rock, thats NYPD making it look good for TV … Feel me.”

NYPD Confirms Mister Cee Arrest

The news of HOT97 personality Mister Cee‘s arrest for a public sex act sparked doubt in the minds of many. However, the New York Police Department has confirmed that Cee was arrested last Wednesday, March 30th.

A NYPD rep confirmed the arrest to XXLMag.com. The arrest occurred at 4:05 PM on March 30th in the area of the first police precinct. Cee, born Calvin Lebrun, was charged with public lewdness and exposure.

Mister Cee did not let the arrest stop him, as he was on air at HOT97 this afternoon for his daily “Throwback At Noon” mix, in which he addressed the incident through his song choices which included songs like Jay-Z’s “What More Can I Say” and Nas’ “Hate Me Now.”

Terrance Dean, author of the controversial book Hiding In Hip-Hop and a contributor to our sister-site HelloBeautiful.com, commented on the arrest earlier today saying “Even though it’s alleged, this is not the first, nor would it be last. Don’t be surprised if there’s more by this summer.”

Mister Cee, HOT97 DJ and former DJ for The Notorious B.I.G., was arrested for public lewdness and exposure of a person on Wednesday afternoon after police spotted the 44-year-old radio jock, born Calvin Lebrun, receiving oral sex in a car from a 20-year-old man.

The story set the internet on fire Sunday after the news was posted on HollywoodStreetKing.com. Lebrun’s fellow HOT97 DJ, Funkmaster Flex, took to his blog to deny the story, however Lebrun’s arrest record is available online.

Lebrun was released later that day on his own recognizance.

50 Cent Releases Video Of Him Arguing With CEO Of WorldStarHipHop

50 Cent called into Angie Martinez‘ radio show on Hot 97 in NYC to speak on the WorldStarHipHop incident. He reveals that he wasn’t actually responsible for taking the site down, but does admit to some tension between himself and the website. 50 is currently involved in a lawsuit against WorldStarHipHop that dates back to 2009 for using his image on a site banner without securing permission. 50 also feels that the site promotes negativity, something which he isn’t a fan of.

Q from WorldStarHipHop later called in to Hot97 to clarify what happened, and that it had nothing to do with 50 Cent or any Federal agency. Q says that it was just a server issue that has since been rectified.

What happened off air is what’s really interesting. While on the phone with 50 Cent, Angie Martinez asks him if he wants to speak to Q from WorldStarHipHop. It resulted in a shouting match with lots of threats coming from 50 himself, ultimately ending with 50 telling Q to come to his office to discuss their issues face to face.

Cipha Sounds Suspended Indefinitely For Haitian HIV Comments

Hot97 released a statement today revealing that DJ Cipha Sounds would be suspended indefinitely for disparaging comments he made about Haitian women on the air.

During a segment about giving out condoms to help reduce the spread of AIDS in Haiti Cipha “joked” that he didn’t have to worry about HIV because he didn’t “mess with Haitian women.” The remark incurred numerous angry calls to the station and angry emails online. The DJ apologized but community leaders were not satisfied and a press conference was held outside of the station.

The following statement was released by the station in response to the incident:

“Emmis Communications’ HOT 97 today announced a three-part plan to address a recent comment made on-air by DJ Cipha Sounds.

First, the station announced that DJ Cipha Sounds has been suspended indefinitely.

Second, Cipha will immediately undertake sensitivity training focused on the Haitian community and specifically, the challenges the Haitian community has faced in terms of the HIV epidemic.

Finally, HOT 97 announced it will work with local community leaders to utilize the influence of HOT 97 to increase awareness of HIV and community programs to address the HIV epidemic.

“Cipha made an immediate public apology and recognizes his insensitivity and the negative impact his comments have on all Haitians,” said Alex Cameron, SVP/Market Manager of Emmis-New York. “The Haitian community is an important part of our listenership whom we respect and value. The suspension is an indication of the importance we place on delivering a product that respects our Haitian audience. It’s a very regrettable and unfortunate circumstance for all involved and particularly because we know this is not the nature of this young man who has been an advocate of the Haitian community and a big part of our fundraising efforts for Haiti. He is committed to working with the Haitian community to make a difference and turn this negative incident into an opportunity for increased learning and awareness.”

First the Tsunami song and now this. Hot 97 DJ Cipha Sounds has the New York radio station in hot water after making an on-air comment that has local leaders and members of the Haitian community fuming, and calling for him to be fired.

The popular deejay, whose real name is Luis Diaz, enraged listeners when he said on Friday morning, “The reason I’m HIV negative is because I don’t mess with Haitian girls.”

After a swarm of protest online the DJ issued an apology, stating that it was a “a stupid, tasteless joke that was a one-liner that was taken totally the wrong way.”

But community leaders insist there is no “right way” to take such a statement, particularly in a year when the small Caribbean island is still recovering from a massive earthquake that killed thousands earlier this year. A protest is planned outside of the station followed by a Town Hall meeting.

Thanks to uninformened statements by former President Clinton and misquotes in the press, the belief that Haiti has the “highest rate of HIV” in the world has been allowed to persist unchecked. While no population should be singled out unfairly, according to Avert.org, “At one extreme, the Bahamas has the highest HIV prevalence in the entire western hemisphere (3%); at the other, Cuba has one of the lowest (0.1%). Trinidad and Tobago (1.5%) and Jamaica (1.6%) are heavily affected, while Puerto Rico is the only Caribbean country apart from Cuba where it is thought that less than 1% of the population is living with HIV.”

Back in 2005 the station came under fire for producing and broadcasting a “Tsunami Song” that mocked victims of the South Asian Tsunami by calling the “screaming chinks.”

50 Cent Talks Jay-Z and Drake

During an on-air radio interview with Hot 97′s Funk Master Flex in New York 50 Cent shared his thoughts on Drake, and Jay-Z teaming up with the scorching rookie rapper. He then airs out Jay about how he dropped the ball on their collab on Freeway’s sophomore album. And then calls Diddy grimey for the way they handled the whole Mase transaction.

Here’s what he said:

“[Lil Wayne] has that new kid, what’s his name, Drake. The kid is coming up. I heard Jay-Z got him on his single. Right? That was ill, like, that was fast! For him to put him on his single, like that’s ill. I don’t know if he’s rhyming or singing but the fact that he’s on it is hot. Like that was a fast come-up. Jay won’t even rap on his own artists and be in the video with ‘em. Freeway, he did Freeway dirty. In the Freeway project, we were doing something together. It was all of us together, Jay had a record with Freeway and I said ‘If you shoot that one, I’ll shoot the one that I did with him and we’ll make the video.’ Now tell me that ain’t the perfect scenario for Freeway.”

Jay-Z Discusses The Death Of Auto-Tune!

Jay-Z’s release of his street single “Death of Auto-Tune” has been popular on the web and the radio. With the subject matter getting fans excited or in an uproar, it’s certainly got people talking. But now, the man behind the song has spoken about it with New York’s Hot97.

Speaking on the topic of Auto-Tune, Jigga said he had no problem with Kanye, T-Pain or Weezy.

“The guys who did, did it great,” he said. “Let them guys do it. They got their little niche. Let’s move on.”

Fans have been waiting for Blueprint 3 for quite some time and it’s actually very close to dropping, according to Hov.

“I’m pretty much at the launching pad right now.”

This somewhat confirms initial reports that the album will be released September 11, on the same date the first installment of The Blueprint dropped. Many have also wondered about which label Jay would release the album under.

“Right now, I bought my album back. I overpaid for it,” he noted. “I believe at this point in my career, I wanted to be totally independent and free in what I wanted to do. Def Jam and Universal, they did a beautiful thing in letting me pay. They overcharged me a little bit, but I appreciate all the years they put into my career and all of the hard work I put into what I do. I could never have a record deal. I’m working with Atlantic to distribute the album.”

He went on to say that he doesn’t measure success by how much money he makes anymore.

“Success is being around the people you [are] most comfortable with. It’s no problem. It’s not about money.”

With that in mind, he said the album will have a “classic” feel to it.

“My thing…The vibe I’m in right now is stripping it down and bringing it back to classic. I hear people. I gotta get back to my square and let people know what time it is.”
