In the short video clip, Just Blaze reminds viewers of the release of Saigon’s 6-years-in-the-can debut album The Greatest Story Never Told in February.  Just then mentions that another album will be dropping soon before panning over to Dr. Dre who says “4/20 – 4/20, baby, I’m coming.”

Just ends the video by saying that we might even spot a unicorn this year.

The super producer/video game fanatic celebrated moving his recording home from Baseline Studios to Stadium Red on 125th street in Harlem and wants to keep making history, even if he has to go into the past to do it.

“Our studio runs on 1.21 jigawatts,” he said smiling in homage to the mad scientist in Back To The Future. “There’s a lot of 80′s montages around [the studio] but it’s subtle. We got to shape every detail from top to bottom. We’re getting our Star Trek on.”

After taking a few months off Blaze has some upcoming work with  T.I., Marsha Ambrosius and a TV hosting project that he can’t say much about other than, “it was a really cool and exciting experience.”

Yesterday the video for Eminem and Lil Wayne’s “No Love” premiered and Just Blaze, who produced the track and cameos in the vid, relished in taking something as quirky as Haddaway’s “What Is Love” and making a hip-hop hit.

“I go through different phases,” he says. “Sometimes I make records that make you want to punch somebody in the face and other times I make a record that makes you wanna dance. I like to take things that are unexpected and make it into a good record.”

2009 was a really rough year for Charles Hamilton. The Ohio-born Harlem raised MC with a penchant for pink headphones and Sonic The Hedgehog couldn’t seem to keep his foot out of his mouth.

First there was the controversy over a beat produced by St. Louis producer Black Spade, where Hamilton provided Pro Tools “evidence” of creating the beat. Then there was naming the late J. Dilla as the executive producer of an album despite never having met the man. And if having Dilla’s mom say she didn’t know him wasn’t bad enough, he was filmed being punched by his former girlfriend for joking about an abortion in a freestyle. Literally adding insult to injury he was dropped from his label Interscope Records soon after.

Lucky for Charles most people have focused on hating Producer Solar these days and if hip-hop has taught us anything it’s that fans have short memories (just ask Rick Ross.) So what better time than now to come back with new music?

Fast forward to April of 2010 and  Charles has broken a self-imposed exile, performing at New York’s S.OB.s Nightclub, sharing the stage with B.OB. For his six-minute freestyle he chose to rhyme over Jay Electronica’s popular “Exhibit C” instrumental produced by Just Blaze. It was a fairly obvious choice if not original, but the response was decent. Jay was even in the audience that night to catch B.O.B, but according to Charles they haven’t met yet, though he’d like to very much.

You see, Charles has big plans to go with that self-described big mouth and one of them may include starting a 2010 version of dead prez with Mr. Electronica.  And you thought this summer would be boring.

Superproducer Just Blaze (no Solar) was tapped by the folks behind the movie version of the classic 80′s television action series “The A-Team”  to remix the show’s theme song.

Justin Blaze definitely makes the song club-friendly by putting a Baltimore Club spin on it, so for those of you expecting something sounding like “Hovi Baby” or “Flipside,” you might wanna skip this one.

Lenny Kravitz just posted on his Twitter account a video where he addresses the leak of his collaboration with Michael Jackson that recently leaked.

Lenny Kravitz once revealed in an interview that he had done a song with Michael Jackson and that it was the most amazing recording session he’d ever participated in.  Fans of both MJ and LK have wondered what this song sounds like for awhile now, and a snippet of the song’s first verse has just leaked.

The song “Another Day” seems to use the same lyrics as Lenny’s 2004 hit single “Storm” which featured a CRAZY remix by Just Blaze and a guest verse from Jay-Z.

Drake [click here to read] is making his name more recognized as days pass. He’s been garnering attention, respect and accolades recently, and it seems that the future looks bright for the young, Young Money star, who is already rumored to be working with Just Blaze and Jay-Z [click here to read].

In a recent interview with Joe Budden for JoeBuddenTV, Drake spoke up about disses and more.

After saying he was humbled by recent success, he added that he could not believe what he has achieved.

“I never thought it would come this far,” he noted.

Later, he added that he would never diss other emcees.

“Diss me, you’ll never get a reply,” he noted, saying he would never disrespect another emcee on wax.

“Joey spoke with HipHopGame about the Saigon battle and, contrary to what Sai claims, and in line with what Just Blaze said, he insists that the two of them spoke on the phone.

One minute we hear there’s a phone call and the next minute Saigon says it didn’t happen. Did a phone call happen?The phone call happened. The phone call happened. In my story the phone call happened. I’m not responsible for what he goes around saying but it’s common sense. If me and dude are engaged in a fucking lyrical battle here and all of a sudden I just stop out of the clear blue sky, there’s really no other reason for it besides there was a phone call that took place.

What did you guys talk about? That part I’m not going to share. But we had a pretty in-depth conversation. And it was a good one. It was a good conversation. It didn’t start out well but we had a good conversation. He begged me to stop. He begged me to leave him alone.

He goes on to say that he explained to Saigon during the call that the next round was going to get really personal and there wouldn’t be any coming back once that record hit the streets. Joey also says he’s down to jump in the ring and fight Sai for charity, and he speaks on his girlfriends newly found internet fame.”

Contrary to reports on Twitter that Just Blaze mediated the situation between Joe Budden and Saigon, XXLMag.com recently published a piece stating otherwise:

“With the net buzzing with reports that Saigon and Joe Budden have squashed their escalating beef, XXLmag.com got in touch with The Yardfather to find out the details. Problem is Sai says that never happened.

When asked to confirm whether or not he got on the phone with Budden, Sai denied everything that Just Blaze wrote on his twitter account last night. “Nah that’s what Just Blaze wants to happen in his heart,” he said. “I don’t know where he got that information from but that’s totally bullshit.“

In fact Sai thinks Blaze said that to cool things down. “I don’t know where that came from,” he explained. “For a while you know Just been trying to squash that shit cause he understands what it can turn in to. He just doesn’t wanna see it go past –you know just being around me and a lot of my people – and he doesn’t wanna see it go anywhere other than wax. And he knows that’s very, very, very likely gonna happen.”

As of press time Just Blaze has not returned any emails.

As XXL reported yesterday, Budden will be performing tonight at S.O.B.’s as a part of the newly formed supergroup Slaughterhouse. While Sai is cool with the rest of the crew, which consists of Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9” and Crooked I, he says he will not be going to the show. “There’s really no need to be there, “ he said. “I would love to see the show as a hip-hop fan – they all talented people – I wanna see what they can come up with, but with that other shit that’s not gonna happen.”

“We wanna see what Joey’s gonna do,” he added, “Cause he claims he’s gonna go there and do something. He’s gonna put his foot in my ass or whatever – so I don’t know where this phone shit came from.”

Sai announced on his last diss track “Pushin Buddens,” which was released earlier this week, that he’s done with adding fuel to the fire, but admitted to XXL that he will keep on putting out records if he has to. “To tell you the truth I don’t want to but you know know that shit is getting fun, ’cause I don’t really battle but it’s fun now – now i’ll come back 10 times stronger than I came,” he said about putting out another track. “So if his shit ain’t 10 times stronger that that ‘Pain in his Life‘ – which I know he can’t make a better record than that – if he can make a better record that than shit, he’s good, then I gotta step my shit up and do it again.”

Sai’s new mixtape, Warning Shots 2, is slated to hit the streets in April with production by Just Blaze, Scram Jones, Bucwild and himself.”

Seems that Platinum producer Just Blaze may be brokering a truce between Saigon and Joe Budden. Illroots.com posted this Twitter Message from The Megatron Don:

Just Blaze produced Joe Budden’s hit “Pump It Up” and Saigon is signed to his Fort Knocks label.

Saigon, who was mostly missing in action during 2008 made an update on his Myspace page this morning (Jan. 7) to let fans know that, despite numerous setbacks, he is still working hard.

“Im [sic] back better and stronger than ever,” wrote Saigon in his blog post. “I greatly apologize for the lack of information Ive been giving all the people who’s been keeping up with me… I promise to ya’ll this will be my hardest working year ever.. I will be more active as far as the music I put out, interviews, acting, televison shows etc.. Can you believe I only put out 3 songs in the whole year of 08? I pretty much took 08 off to get my personal life in order… Now Im back and better than ever.. Yes Im still with Just Blaze and Ft. Knocks is still going very very strong….”

The rapper took the time to congratulate his mentor, Just Blaze, on his number one spot with the song “Live Your Life” with T.I. and Rihanna, and then announced an upcoming mixtape entitled Warning Shots 2. “I dont know how many of you copped the first Warning Shots but this is the sequel and the music is much hotter…,” he wrote. “All BRAND NEW music produced by Just Blaze, Scram Jones, Buckwild and Myself.. If you ever liked Saigon, Youre gonna love him now.. I promise….. Warning Shots 2 will deliver like never before…. Saigon is back.”
