Keri Hilson Responds To Beyonce Fan Attack Rumors

Ahh Twitter, you entertain us so. R&B singer Keri Hilson’s lack of love for Beyonce is fairly well documented. Unfortunately, no one has crazier fans than Bey! While they normally blow up her mentions with hate, they’ve recently gone the extra step of creating mock tweets of her.

A tweet has been circulating with Keri Baby saying that she’d been attacked with a stack of Beyonce CDs in the street. While the visual is chuckle inducing, the singer denies it really happened.

“Fake tweet, fake story. Photo-shop is a helluva drug lol,” she wrote on her account. “When ppl use so much of their own time and effort to prove that they hate you, they must realize it has the opposite effect! Thanks for the laugh!! Now cut & paste yourself a life.”

Keri Hilson has a message for for the hip-hop world: “Rappers need not apply!” In an interview with EurWeb, the R&B singer made it clear that she has no intention of getting her pretty girl rock on with any male celebrities. Hilson states:

“I would never say “never,” but I want something real. I want real love. I don’t want this red carpet Hollywood love. I feel like they’re easily penetrated, and that’s something that I don’t want. I don’t want publicity. I want love.”

While we certainly understand Miss Keri’s concerns, is she being a bit harsh in her assessment of celebrity men? Sound off in the comment section.

Keri Hilson is rumored to be a diva, in fact if you speak to some females they will tell you they hate her even though they don’t know her! Keri was involved in an altercation with her personal assistant after her assistant didn’t remove a store tag from the back of her harem pants which Keri wore during a performance. It is alleged by Page Six that Keri stormed off stage enraged! “Hilson lost it,” the source said. “She was screaming at her assistant for ‘not being able to do anything right.’ [She] railed that the assistant also forgot to ‘pack her eye drops and throat spray.’ ” Keri’s unidentified assistant didn’t back down though, she retorted Keri’s verbal assault saying “Oh, hell no, heiffer!”

Keri’s bodyguard and manager had to jump in between the two ladies before things got out of hand. Keri’s rep responded to the allegations saying “Keri did ask her assistant to bring her eye drops/throat spray as she was feeling under the weather, but there was no altercation. Keri has had the same road staff, from assistant to security, for a few years now.”

Aside from Keri’s rumored “divaness” was she right to press her assistant?

Just in case you thought Ciara and Keri Hilson were the same person, let me clarify in this installment of Face 2 Face that they aren’t! The media have pit Ci Ci and “Miss Keri Baby” against one another because they are very similar artists, both women are talented and exceptionally beautiful. Ciara and Keri dance, sing and leave men swooned by their sexy appeal.

Ciara debuted on the scene in 2004 with “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo. Combined with her second single “1,2 Step” her first album sold over five million copies. Goodies scored Ci Ci four Grammy nominations. Two years later Ciara reemerged with Ciara:The Evolution, which took the number one spot on The Billboard Charts. Ciara:The Evolution spawned her biggest hit to date “Promise.” Ciara has sold over seven million copies and had five number one singles!

Keri Hilson got her start as a songwriter for artists like Usher, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, The Pussycat Dolls and more. In 2009 Keri tried her hand at her own music career with In An Perfect World. It debuted within the top five slot on the Billboard Charts. “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West and “Turning Me On” helped In A Perfect World go certified gold. Keri Hilson is currently promoting “No Boys Allowed” her most recent album which features her most popular song “Pretty Girl Rock.” Keri has been nominated for three Grammys and won a BET award.

Ciara and Keri’s beef started in 2008 when the ladies began taking subliminal jabs at one another. Keri started the beef with this line “She can dance, she can sing, but tell them b*tches to the left” but who is going to finish it?

Last night, Keri Hilson was out partying with a Amy Winehouse Look a like. She shared a twitpic of the two with her followers, “Gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance).” Keri received tons of angry tweets from Amy Winehouse fans who felt the tweet was insensitive. Keri later apologized for the tweet.

Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE

I apologize 2 anyone who might’ve taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy..

I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive…my bad twitterville. For real.

Amy Winehouse was buried this morning in London. She was found dead in her apartment Sunday July 24. Many suspected her cause of death were due to drugs but nothing was found in her home. The results of Amy’s autopsy was found inconclusive. Officials are currently waiting for her toxicology results.

SpringFest 2011 took place this year in Bicentennial Park during Miami’s famous Memorial Weekend! Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Trey Songz, Miguel, Lloyd, Travis Porter, Jeremih, Big Sean and Rick Ross with special guests YC, Bow Wow, Ace Hood and Drake performed in 90 degree weather in front a sold out audience. The anxious crowd was filled with Chris Brown fans and older women waiting to throw their panties at Trigga Trey.

This year, Radio One sponsored the annual mega-concert SpringFest in Miami, FL featuring artists Big Sean, Travis Porter, Miguel, Marsha Ambrosius, Jeremih,Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Rick Ross. My major intentions, being a huge Chris Brown fan was to talk to the sexy superstar. My plans were foiled when Chris skipped anything press related by driving over the grass and through the entrance with black Explorers and sirens (what an entrance!) I did however get to watch Chris perform only a few feet away! While myself and hundreds of other female fans screamed at the top of our lungs, Chris performed his hits “Take You Down” where he gave a random woman a lap dance. Chris ripped off his shirt , rolled his pelvis and poked it in her face (stay tuned for video). Travis Porter hit the stage with Big Sean and Miguel tore it down with his signature band and flashing microphones. Ace Hood made a surprise appearance hitting the stage to perform the summer anthem “Hustle Hard” and divulged exclusive information to TheUrbanDaily (video to follow)! Lloyd definitely turned his sexy up a couple thousand notches rocking nothing but shorts and tattoos! Keri wore a military outfit with two sexy back-up dancers. The blonde starlet sang “Pretty Girl Rock” and controversial song “The Way You Love Me.” Trey Songz hour-long set sent the crowd into a frenzy. Females fainted, were carried backstage and when Drake joined Trey on stage for an epic surprise he received an even louder response!

Lil’ Wayne Extends “I Am Still Music” Tour

Lil’ Wayne plans to stay out on his “I Am Still Music” tour for a little while longer. Weezy recently added another 41 dates to the tour.

The tour will take advantage of the summer weather with Weezy playing at several amphitheaters across the country.

With Nicki Minaj stepping off the tour to go out on the road with Britney Spears, the line-up of the show is going through some changes. Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Lloyd and Far East Movement will join Weezy on the second leg of the tour, which ends on September 11th in Woodlands, TX.

Brokey McPoverty: Good afternoon! Thanks so much for agreeing to speak with me.

BmcP: Kita or… Shirley? Those are two pretty different names, there.

Kita/Shirley: Yeah, I know. My name is Shirley, but Keri decided to call me Keri because she thinks that people will think it’s sexier. So, I mean, whatever.

BmcP: Your mama name you Shirley, I’ma call you Shirley.

Shirley: Ha! Well that’s okay with me! (Here, Shirley breaks out into a painful sounding hacking cough and reaches for her cup of tea.)

Shirley: Yeah, girl, I just got a little cold. Keri’s had me out and about a whole lot more than usual lately, and I was not at all dressed for the weather.

Shirley: Mm-hmm. That girl was poppin’ it for all she was worth. Gave me whiplash in the worstest of ways.

BmcP: …Goodness. Okay, well, speaking of the video, let’s go ahead and get into that. What are your thoughts on the project? Do you like the song? What was filming the video like?

Shirley: Of course I don’t like the song. I don’t like any of her songs. But I love the video, though; that’s some of my best work ever! I choreographed the whole thing, you know.

BmcP: You’re a choreographer?

Shirley: Oh yeah, child. I’ve worked with some of the greats. Black Jesus, Luke. I did Christina Aguilera’s Dirrty video. But yeah, that was my best work. Even though I got the flu because of it, it was totally worth it.

BmcP: Were you surprised that Keri would make a video like this?

Shirley: Oh, no, not at all. I knew she was gon’ come crawling back to me one day.

BmcP: Can you elaborate?

Shirley: Well, when she first decided she was gonna be a singer and sh*t, I was like, hell yeah! We need to go down to the stripper store and get some real sexy sh*t and turn it out, you know. I was like, Keri, we gon buy you some booty cheeks and we are gonna show OUT. But Keri was all like, “Meeeh, I don’t need to be half naked and gyrating to sell albums! So I was like, OH! Oh, okay! You think you can do this without me? Without Shirley?? I was like alright, then. You go ahead and see how far your–*cough*–”talent” gets you. I’ma just wait right here. After watching Keri Hilson’s “The Way You Love Me” music video the world was wondering where did that raunchy side come from? She sat down with Perez Hilton where she told him some personal details about her “love Life” including how sometimes she just wants to be “f*cked.”I admit, I wanted to see a sexier Keri Hilson but her new music video was somewhat over the top–licking a door hinge…really dude?

Director Says Keri Hilson Had Reservations About New Video

Keri Hilson’s latest video has stirred up a bit of controversy due to its sexually explicit nature.

The director of the video, LaurieAnn Gibson, says that Hilson had her reservations about doing the video during an interview with NecoleBitchie.com.

And apparently the version of the video that we all saw isn’t the version they wanted us to see first.

Necole Bitchie : I can imagine that you were under a lot of pressure especially for this video to be your directorial debut

LaurieAnn: Well the thing is I’ve been choreographing and then creative directing with a lot of Lady Gaga stuff. You know as a choreographer you basically direct movement so you’re in the trenches learning about directing for years. When Keri was like, “Lauri Ann, Polow has this record…I’m not sure about it”. I said “Keri, let me direct a lifestyle video. The thing is, the beat is so driving and it doesn’t have to necessarily be the full part of you. It can be a character or another side. How can we pull a record that Polow loves and not offend your fans?” I suggested we make a mini movie. So that’s how it started out and it was really innocent and because it was my directorial debut I didn’t have a lot of money. The label was looking at me with one eye open. A lot of people don’t understand that Keri’s really capable and really talented and a lot of the other females may not see her as a competitor. But legitimately she has a voice, she has an opinion…she has a passion. So I was like “Keri, if I could let you feel this comfortable you need to fight for your spot, fight for your right to go after what you really want.” So we just started and that’s how the collaborations started.

Necole Bitchie: My first thought when I saw the video was “men are going to love this, women are going to hate on it”. I looked on twitter and the men were going crazy, the women not so much. I have never seen Keri dance that hard though. Do you feel like this video can propel her into “a competing state” and open people’s eyes to “Keri has arrived”?

LaurieAnn: Absolutely Necole because I think the bar and the level is set. You have to risk it all in order to be number one and you know how we feel about Beyonce, she works non-stop. She’s in it giving you options, performing at a level that’s not comfortable. The thing is, Keri can go there, so it’s like she’s making them feel uncomfortable. It’s a risk she had to take. As a black woman it is a little bit uncomfortable but what we are saying is we get to this place sexually where we want to feel like we’re that sexy, we’re that fly and why not? I mean white girls get behind us, I mean I love you Kim Kardashian but enough! Black girls are fly, you know what I’m saying? We’re beat, we’re the reason for the season and we need to embrace it! It’s a little uncomfortable because they kindly, politely put us in our position. Black women stand up and take back what their tying to snatch from us behind closed doors.

Raheem Devaughn’s new video has been a topic of discussion around the office today for it’s highly sexual nature.

The video for his new song “She’s Single” features the R&B crooner in a variety of uhhh.. compromising positions, if you will.

Though most of the action is draped in shadow, the video is still pretty NSFW (“not-safe-for-work” for the newbies out there), so watch when no one’s around your desk, or just wait until you get home.

The video comes hot on the heels of Keri Hilson’s controversial (Ed: and confusing) video for “The Way You Love Me,” but even that video doesn’t have us acting like Eddie Murphy, Halle Berry and Melvin Van Peebles in Boomerang.
