According to Allhiphop.com

Cash Money Records’ lawsuit against mixtape DJ Drama is a thing of the past.

The record label’s case was thrown out by federal court judge Miriam Cedarbaum, for failure to clearly state any causes of action upon which relief could be granted, lawyers for DJ Drama told AllHipHop.com.

The dismissal marks the end of the conflict between Cash Money and Texas –based independent distributor BCD Music Group, which was also named in the label’s complaint.

Lil Wayne in Vibe

In February, Cash Money filed its lawsuit against Drama’s Aphilliates Music Group, BCD, Makin Moves Entertainment and others amid claims that the music of Cash Money rapper Lil Wayne, was created and distributed illegally through mixtapes.

The suit, which was part of an ongoing case against BCD, centered around three volumes of Drama’s Dedication mixtape series as well as Happy Father’s Day, featuring music by Lil Wayne and Baby and Frank Nino’s When the North and South Collide.

Weezy sleeps through concert

News of the lawsuit triggered speculation concerning tension between DJ Dram, Lil Wayne and the mixtape community in general.

The turntablist dismissed the rumors in April as he noted how the accusations against him were “misplaced.”

“This is not a case of Lil Wayne vs. DJ Drama. Me and Wayne are good,” Drama stated.

“I am confident that this matter will be resolved quickly without harming the relationship between myself, Wayne and Cash Money Records.”

Cash Money’s lawsuit was an amended version of a previous complaint that was withdrawn after being served.

Despite the outcome of the case, BCD’s lawyer, Wallace Collins, Esq., revealed that Cedarbaum gave Cash Money until September 9 to re-file a second amended complaint if they choose to further pursue the case.

If the complaint is not filed, the dismissal will be deemed final and with prejudice.

Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras… but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn’t show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.

In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.

A promoter in Rochester, NY who was left holding the bag 3 times over the last 4 months filed suit against the rapper Friday in NYC.

Edward Strickland, GM of RMF Productions, is suing Wayne, his manager and others for $1.3 mil. Strickland says he advanced Lil’ $100K back in October and got nothin’.

Strickland claims the last he heard from Wayne was via email canceling the third concert… which Lil’ said was due to “logistics of his band.” Translation: Lil’ blew him off.

Calls to Wayne have not been returned.

Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams claim in a federal lawsuit they handed a “compact disk” to the “office” of megaproducer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins with the song “On My Grind.”

Then, not-so-magically, four years later, Mary J. recorded “Enough Cryin’” — produced by Darkchild — and the guys say it sounded awfully familiar.

It is unclear from the lawsuit what Jay-Z’s roll was in all this.

The defendants couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Lawyers for the Taco Bell fast-food chain are calling 50 Cent’s federal lawsuit filed in Manhattan against Taco Bell just another attempt to “burnish his gangsta rapper persona by distorting beyond all recognition a … good faith offer.”

The beef is over a fake letter sent out by the company asking 50 Cent — aka Curtis Jackson — to change his name to “79 Cent,” ”89 Cent” or 99 Cent” forone day to help publicize its value menu.

In return, the company offered to donate $10,000 to the charity of Jackson’s choice. The rapper sued for trademark infringement.

Jackson’s attorney Peter Raymond said he wonders why Taco Bell would use his client’s name in an ad campaign if Taco Bell thinks 50 is such a bad character.

In the statement, lawyers for Taco Bell called 50 Cent a “self-described former drug dealer and hustler” and that “Jackson has used his colorful past
to cultivate a public image of belligerence and arrogance and has a well publicized publicized track record of making threats, starting feuds and
filing lawsuits.”

Yo 50, we got your back. Ecoli doesn’t belong on the value menu.
