Ludacris is merging his music and the food business by opening a new restaurant called “Chicken & Beer.” This was also the title of his 2003 album that almost went gold in its first week out and featured the hit “Stand Up.”

Al Pacino Thanks Hip-Hop For “Scarface” Support

The Scarface Blu-Ray release party was the place to be for any fan of the cult classic film [check out our giveaway here]. In celebration of the release the cast of the film, –including Steven Bauer, F. Murray Abraham, Robert Loggia(whose name I can’t hear without thinking of Family Guy now), Producer Martin Bregman, and Tony Montana himself Al Pacino–gathered at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Tony Montana plastered red carpet featured an array of other celebrities like “True Blood’s” Joe Manganiello, Ludacris (who performed what seemed like every song he’s ever made after the Q&A), Hemky Madera of Weed’s, Gene Simmons and his ENTIRE family, Kendra Wilkinson and her husband(and free agent?) Hank Baskett, and for some reason Vienna Girardi from “The Bachelor”?

The party inside featured an open bar, amazing Cuban food, and for dessert some great chocolate cigars and the best churros I’ve ever had in my life along. The novelty bags of cocaine were really just powdered sugar (see left) but would definitely get you in trouble outside of the party if LAPD had anything to say about it. The Ciroc sponsored event even featured Scarface themed cocktails including the “Ciroc Montana”, “My Berry Little Friend”, and the “Co-Co Crazy Coco Loso”.

The most notable moment of the evening (and what seemed to be thematic among the cast) was crediting rappers and the rap community with the longevity and continued mainstream success of Scarface. During the Q&A Al referenced the 2003 documentary “Scarface: Origins of a Hip Hop Classic” saying, ”The hip hop people and the rappers got together and they made a video and they talked about the movie. I dont think anybody ever talked about it as articulately and clearly. I understood it better having heard them talk about it…I mean they really get it and they understand it and that’s a great thing. They’ve been very supportive all these years and I think that’s helped us tremendously”

You can “Say Hello” to the Blu-Ray edition of Scarface when it hits shelves Tuesday September 6th.

Are Ciara and Ludacris dating? According to one of MTO’s snitches, the two are getting pretty close.

Ciara was seen with Ludacris two days in a row during “Luda Weekend” in Atlanta. His girlfriend Eudoxie was nowhere to be found until Ciara left town. Ludacris then showed up with Eudoxie by his side and things didn’t seem to be all good between the two.

The Atlanta bred rapper tweeted “I love stretching the outer limits of where music can potentially go & collaborating w/artists that nobody expects me to.” At the end of the performance Luda declared “History has been made!” “Dirt Road Anthem” was co-produced by Big K.R.I.T.

Ludacris has joined DoSomething.org and Better World Books in an “Epic Book Drive” meant to replenish books in libraries in New Orleans’ Recovery School District that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

“I am proud to be a spokesperson for this initiative as it’s in line with my dedication to empowering young people,” Ludacris said in a statement.

“The campaign is giving something as simple as a book to a student in a much needed area like the Recovery District so they can have the opportunity to read, communicate and be inspired,” Ludacris continued. “Sharing in this way will have an incredible impact on the confidence and abilities of the next generation of leaders and I’m excited to be leading the charge.”

Ludacris Caught Cheating By Girlfriend

Ludacris’ girlfriend Euxonie is rumored to have gone ludicrous on Ludacris at Florida Atlantic University’s annual Freakers Ball.

Mediatakeout and their secret source is reporting it like this:

“Luda came with his girlfriend, Euxonie and of course his boys. Luda asked for condoms to be in his dressing room and when his manager asked where they where she went CRAZY. She flipped out on him asking him why he always needed condoms in front of his crew and the students that ran the concert. We were all in shock and it was liked a bad accident where you couldn’t look away.

They went into the dressing room and came out like 20 minutes later asking for a tour of the school since she had heard so much about the school. We got a her a golf cart tour (our school is relatively small).

As soon as she was out of the building Luda went over to one of the girls, who was a student, and started talking to her. She was all giggles. After about 20 minutes of whispering in her hear Luda and the girl went into his dressing room with one of his bodyguards standing in front of the door not letting anyone get too close to the door.

About 10 minutes later Euxonie came back, as I said small school, and she went to the door. By this time EVERYBODY knew that Luda was in the room with the girl, so Euxonie went up to the doors and attempted to bypass the guards, They wouldn’t let her in the room and she was screaming “CHRIS OPEN THE F*CKING DOOR!!!!” she was banging on the boor. He eventually came out with the girl and she pushed him into the room and she started screaming and everybody and their momma could hear her. About 20 minutes after the screaming match she stormed out of the room and told one of the bodyguards to take her to the airport.

Luda came out the room and one of the bodyguards asked him if he wanted to stop the car and Luda said “Nope, she’ll get over it”. And that was it. A few hours later he put on a great show.”
