“The appeal process is done, finally, it’s been done for about a month now,” Max B. told AllHipHop.com. “So now what they do is, the prosecutor responds back and you get a letter. They tell you, you gotta wait eight to 10 months for a response from the appellate court.”

Max is confident that he won’t have to wait that long to hear back from the appellate court. “You might see me in the summer, you might see me at the end of the year,” Max B. said. “I’m just waiting on the appellate courts. All my paperwork is done.”

Jim Jones protege Max B has been granted an appeal in his murder case.

Mr. Wavy may wash ashore sooner than expected. XXLMag.com spoke with incarcerated rapper Max B’s manager, Joli O’Shay, earlier today (Mar. 19) and she says the Harlemite was recently granted an appeal in his murder case.

According to O’Shay, Max is now sitting tight as he awaits an actual appeal date. Once that comes in the MC known as Biggavelli, has a new lawyer to fight for his innocence. “He’s gonna try hopefully to go back to trial, or get it a mistrial or get it time served, whatever we can do,” she said.

Harlem, New York rapper Max B. was sentenced to 75 years in prison today (September 3) for his role in a botched robbery that led to a double murder in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel.

Max B., born Charly Wingate, appeared in a Hackensack, New Jersey court today with co-defendant Kevin Leerdam.
Max B. and Leerdam were convicted on charges of felony murder, kidnapping and armed robbery for planning and robbing Allan Plowden and David Taylor at a Holiday Inn in September of 2006.

Yonkers Hip-Hop star DMX is free after serving over 90 days in jail on drug, fraud, and animal cruelty charges, a representative confirmed with AllHipHop.com. The rapper was released from “Tent City,” aka the Maricopa County Jail, late yesterday afternoon (May 13).

DMX’s conviction and prison sentence was a culmination of a 2008 filled with legal woes. The rapper’s last arrest resulted in an extradition back to Phoenix after attempting to hide out in producer Scott Storch’s Florida mansion.

Originally, DMX, born Earl Simmons, was to serve only 90 days in jail. His tenure was extended when he faced additional charges for allegedly assaulting a corrections officer over a food dispute. During his incarceration, X revealed plans to start a Christian ministry upon his release.

Former Dipset rapper/hook specialist Max B began his murder trial today (May 14) in Bergen County, New Jersey. Prosecutors accuse Max, real name Charly Wingate, with plotting a botched robbery that left one man dead in September 2006.

According to Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Martin Delaney, Max B conspired with his ex-girlfriend (Gina Conway) and a stepbrother (Kelvin Leerdam) to rob two men (Allan Plowden and David Taylor) at a Holiday Inn on Route 4. The night of the homicide, authorities claim Max B, Conway, and Leerdam ambushed Allen Plowden in his hotel room, duct taping him and a female companion.

Founding Geto Boy member Willie D was arrested by federal authorities who accuse the gangsta rap pioneer of running a scam involving iPhones. Willie D., born William James Dennis, was taken into custody at Bush Intercontinental, after he was indicted for his relationship with a company named Texas One Wireless. According to the Houston Press, Willie D. posed as an electronic salesman and used eBay to interact with international buyers. He conducted businesses transactions independent and outside of eBay, and allegedly took numerous orders for iPhones and other electronics.

In hopes of clearing up the cause of an ongoing feud between Jim Jones and former Byrdgang member Max B, Paula J. Moore has stepped forward to provide her account of the story.

Moore, who refers to Max B (real name Charly Wingate) as her client, says she was responsible for posting the rapper’s $150,000 bail after he was arrested on charges of attempted murder in 2007 and has a copy of the bail bond to prove it.

“Jim Jones was not interested in helping Max B get released out of jail until he heard that someone was bailing him out,” Moore tells HipHopRuckus.com. “Unbeknown to me, Jim Jones found out that I was going to be bailing Max B out and he went to the jail and convinced Max to sign all his publishing over and loaned him $90,000.”

Moore says she plans to reveal other details about the behind-the-scenes activity of members of Byrdgang as well as other information about the aforementioned murder trial via her upcoming H.O.T. (Harlem on Top) DVD.
