She may join in with friend and the father of her children, Ne-Yo, when he’s throwing wads of cash at the adult entertainers at Atlanta’s infamous Magic City, but Monyetta Shaw throws even bigger dollars at charity (the traditional kind anyway…no shade, strippers). TMZ reports that after speaking with Football Wives star, Chanita Foster, about her charity, Beyond The Game, Monyetta decided to cover the living expenses of 48 children in Switzerland. Monyetta was only supposed to cover maybe one or two, but she fell in love with every child she say and insisted on adopting all of them. Each kid costs about $30, which means she’s offered $17,280 to cover each for a year.

While in Atlanta last weekend, R&B crooner Ne-Yo hit up the famous Magic City strip club with his girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw. Despite only spending two hours in the adult entertainment establishment, Ne-Yo dropped between $3,000 and $5,000 dollars. According to TMZ, the singer-songwriter had all of that money in singles and covered the floor with money. It should be noted Ne-Yo wasn’t drunk. Witnesses say he didn’t have one sip of any type of libation and kept mostly to himself in the VIP room.

As the saying goes, it ain’t tricking if you got it.

R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo announced he is leaving Def Jam, the label who first shot him into stardom. He will be taking his talents to Motown Records along with his Compound Entertainment stable of artists. An extra incentive for the move to Motown Records is Ne-Yo will also serve as Senior Vice President of A&R.

Billboard reported the Grammy Award winner will produce and mentor the roster of Motown acts, as well as find and cultivate new talent. Ne-Yo stated, “I’m honored that I¹ve been given such a prestigious title and trusted with such responsibility; terrified because I know that playing this role in the fashion of one of my career role models, Mr. Smokey Robinson — these are big shoes to fill. But trust, I can handle it.”

So word is Fabolous knocked Ray J the f**k out at the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight in Vegas this past weekend. This is just one of many celebrity fights to have occurred in the past few years. Is it me or aren’t these fights always the most random match ups we never expect? Sometimes celebrities have beef over real issues and other times it’s just the dumbest things ever. However, everyone loves a fight that involves famous celebrities. TUD has decided to compile a list of the top 10 celebrity fights that have played out in the public and on the blogs. Check out the list below!

10. Usher Vs. Bobby Brown- Now this was not a real fight but the blogs were buzzing about Usher and Bobby Brown getting into an altercation. As the story goes, Bobby Brown attended Usher’s birthday party where he greeted Usher, who was so happy to see him and put Bobby in a headlock. Bobby tried to tell Usher he could not breathe but Usher couldn’t hear him over the loud music. Bobby then picked Usher up holding him over the DJ booth when Usher’s security came to his rescue. We would love to see two of the R&B greats go at for the “King of R&B” title but that was not the case.

9. Foxy Brown Vs. Jacki-O- Foxy is considered the most controversial female rapper of all time. So no one is surprised when she gets into cat fights. Back in 2005, Foxy Brown and Jacki-O got into a fight down in Miami. Rumor is Jacki-O and rapper Gravy were in the studio recording when Foxy Brown showed up along with her nasty attitude. Jacki-O, who wishes she could have a rap career like Foxy once had, was not feeling how shady Foxy was being and put feet on her. Check out the video where Jacki-O speaks on the altercation and Foxy’s response saying it never happened and Jacki-O was just fishing for free press. Jacki-O later released a diss record aimed at Foxy titled “TKO.” This feud may never end.

8. Joe Budden Vs. Raekwon- We all know Joe Budden loves having drama played out on cameras. He somehow believes it will help his brand and he will one day go platinum. The beef started with Joe Budden talking trash about being better than Method Man. Now you already know the Wu is going to hold it down. At Rock The Bells 09, someone in The Wu-Tang’s camp swung on Joe. Of course, Joe Budden would make a video holding a ice pack to his face. Check the video out HERE.

7. Maino Vs. Yung Berg- These two MCs were on tour together at the time and Maino was even featured on Yung Berg’s “The Business” remix. Yung Berg approached Maino at a club in Atlanta. “I heard you was talking reckless about me” is what Yung Berg said to Maino. Being from the streets of Brooklyn, Maino slapped him. 6. Ne-Yo Vs. Jim Jones- This is a rare match-up that we never saw coming. The fight took place at the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Avenue in New York City. Word is one of Jim Jones’ goons made a disrespectful comment about Jay-Z to Ty Ty, who is Jay’s best friend, and when Ty Ty responded things got crazy. A source told MTO that someone had a Prada shoe on Ne-Yo’s neck. Sounds like a serious brawl doesn’t it? No one suffered any major injuries. Charges against Jim Jones were pressed and he later appeared in court and was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket. Jim Jones says he was lucky not to have received any time behind bars.

5. Ray J Vs. Fabolous- Ray J and Fabolous scrapping down after the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight is just hilarious. Now the fight is rumored to be instigated by 50 Cent. We all know how 50 can get the beef popping off. The altercation started off as just jokes but things got real after 50 instigated. This resulted in Fabolous hitting Ray J with a two piece and a biscuit leaving him unconscious. Word is Ray J’s jewelry was stolen in the process. Read about the full story HERE.

4. Junior Mafia Vs. Dipset- Just may be one of those classic hip hop beefs. Brooklyn Vs. Harlem if you really want to take it there. The brawl took place about 10 years ago at Rucker Park in Harlem, NY. We still don’t know exactly how this fight got started but according to JM, Cam’ron fled the scene when things got real. 3. Jay-Z Vs. R. Kelly- When the best of both worlds went terribly wrong. There were rumors of Jay-Z and R-Kelly having some disagreements while touring for their second joint album Unfinished Business. I would assume the rumors were true when R. Kelly was sprayed in the face with pepper spray by Jay-Z’s best friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith. This occurred when R. Kelly had stopped the concert and exited the stage, claiming he saw two men with guns in the audience. This caused Jay-Z to put an end to the tour. R. Kelly wanted to go on, but Jay had enough of R. Kelly’s wild antics and continued on without him with the help of artist like Kanye West, Foxy Brown, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliott and more, calling the show Jay-Z and Friends. R. Kelly later hit Jay with a $75 million breach of contract lawsuit.

2. Jay-Z Vs. Lance “Un” Rivera- Now we still don’t know the truth about this fight as Nas pointed out in his “Ether” diss. The incident dates back to December 1999 when Jay was gearing up to release “Life & Times Of S. Cater” Vol. 3. Word had got back to Jay-Z that Un was responsible for his album being leaked before the release date. Jay-Z and his entourage ran into Un at The Kit Kat Club on west 43rd street in New York City. Rumor has it during the altercation Jay-Z stabbed Lance. Later, Rivera drafted a civil suit against Jay-Z but never filed it after the two settled out of court for about $500,000 to $1 million.

1. Diddy Vs. Steve Stoute- Nas’s “Hate Me Now” video displayed Diddy and Nas being nailed to a cross like Jesus. Diddy later did not want the world to see him like that because of his religion. Steve Stoute who was Nas’a manager at the time promised Diddy that he would have him taken out of that part of the video. The video premiered with both Nas and Diddy being nailed to a cross. This resulted in Diddy and his bodyguards breaking into Steve Stoute’s office and hit him over the head with a champagne bottle. Now what I wanna know is, did Diddy bring the champagne bottle with him or did he hit Steve Stoute in the head with his own Champagne bottle?

Which is more important the singer or the songwriter? Questions like this are bound to ignite a debate. Some entertainers need not worry about this because they are well adept in both. Take Jazmine Sullivan for instance. Before she became a star in her own right, she was racking up writing credits. Since Sullivan’s debut, Fearless, dropped in 2008, she’s written songs for Chrisette Michele and Fantasia. Monica’s comeback single, “Everything To Me,” was also penned by the Philly starlet. While women are making money off of crafting hits, songwriting is dominated by men. Two of the most notable singer-songwriters of our time are Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Ne-Yo.

There isn’t one person on this planet who doesn’t like a Babyface track. Whether it’s a saccharine love song to express your feelings to your mate or a soul stirring message song, Babyface has done it. How could you not love the genius that introduced the world to Toni Braxton and TLC? Babyface broke into the business by playing in the bands, Manchild and The Deele. While he was still in The Deele, he wrote Midnight Star’s hit, “Slow Jam.” The demand for Edmond’s songs came pouring in consequently. His songs have been recorded by everyone from Aretha Franklin to Bobby Brown. Edmonds’ talent has been recognized by the Grammy Awards ten times. He won Producer Of The Year three years in a row from 1995 to 1997. Besides Quincy Jones, no other black record producer has been honored as much as he has. As Edmonds has followed the path blazed by Quincy Jones, a new crop of singer-songwriters are following Babyface’s footsteps. One of those singers would be the Las Vegas born and bred artist, Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith.

When asked out of Prince or Babyface, who is his writing most akin to, Ne-Yo replied, “I’m Babyface!” Their love for melody and attention to song structure and background detail set them apart from the rest. Whereas Babyface’s songs dominated the pop and R&B charts from the late 80s into the early 2000s, Ne-Yo has been working since 2003. His first song placement was Marques Houston’s “That Girl.” Smith’s big break came when Mario released “Let Me Love You” in 2004. The mid-tempo groove hit number one on three of BillBoard’s charts. Since then, Ne-Yo released three chart topping discs. His third effort, The Year Of The Gentleman, was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2009 Grammys. He lost big award and went consoled by his wins in the categories of Best Contemporary R&B Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

R&B singer Ne-Yo stopped by VH1′s “Big Morning Buzz Live” Friday morning to discuss some of his upcoming projects. The Grammy winning singer/producer talked about his fifth studio release, titled “Love and Passion” which drops this September. Ne-Yo shared that he wanted to make a more well-rounded album that evokes emotion from the listener. “There’s more to music than just dancing,” Ne-Yo stated, “I mean when’s the last time you heard a ballad on the radio?”

Ne-Yo confessed that he doesn’t bring his baby daughter Madilyn Grace (born last November) to the studio when recording. “When she’s around nothing else matters, nothing else gets done..so Maddy stays home while Daddy goes to work.”

Ne-Yo is flying high from his collaboration on Pitbull’s hit single “Give Me Everything.” The song is currently charting #1 worldwide.

Fabolous‘ latest single “You Be Killin’ Em” gets the remix treatment with a little help from Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie. The remix will appear on Loso’s forthcoming mixtape The S.O.U.L. Tape scheduled to hit the interwebs on April 21st.

We don’t think this remix is as infectious as the original one… plus Ryan Leslie is still rapping for some reason. We’ll pass on this one.

Ne-Yo’s Back-Up Dancers Scared To Tour In Japan

Ne-Yo‘s tour of Japan will feature a few less dancers than normal, as four of Ne-Yo’s back-up dancers refused to travel to Japan out of fear of aftershocks and radiation exposure caused by the recent earthquake in the country.

From TMZ:

According to our sources, four dancers decided not to make the trip to Japan. Our sources say those dancers were then told by the tour manager they were dropped from the rest of the tour, which is just one show in Korea on March 30.

Ne-Yo has two more shows in Japan, March 22 and 24, with some proceeds from the shows going to victims of the earthquake.

In 2007, Fabolous and Ne-Yo released the hit single “Make Me Better,” featured on Fabolous’ From Nothin’ To Somethin’ album. Loso revealed to XXL that the two are hoping to recreate that magic over the course of an entire album.

“I think this year too I might be doing this project with Ne-Yo finally,” he told the magazine. “We’ve been in talks for a minute. It’s really sounding like it’s gonna get done. Ne-Yo is really hyped about it. I just fell back on it, but now I see the wheels are turning a little bit. I think we need that for the game. Some of the allure from the game is gone. You see people doing less numbers, so now let’s do some vanity projects where people are collaborating together.”

Ne-Yo Is Father Of Baby Girl

Singer Ne-Yo is the proud father of a baby girl, as the child’s mother Monyetta gave birth to the child late Friday night in Atlanta. The singer was at a charity event for his Ne-Yo Foundation when he got the news that Monyetta went into labor.

He and his mother then left the event to see the child being born in an Atlanta hospital.

This is the first child for the entertainer.

Months ago he addressed rumors of his sexuality fed by the unusual arrangement he had with the child’s mother.

Ne-Yo’s latest video, “One In A Million,” feels very familiar.

Ne-Yo’s wardrobe and dancing all recall one of Ne-Yo’s heroes, Michael Jackson. The plotline of the video itself feels like an updated version of MJ’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

Despite the obvious references to the Kaing Of Pop, we’re not really mad at this video.

It’s a very well-done tribute to Jackson.

Ne-Yo: “T.I. Makes A Lot Of Poor Decisions”

Ne-Yo may be one of T.I.’s largest supporters, but the R&B singer/songwriter thinks that the rapper needs to get his act together.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Ne-Yo says that T.I.’s problems stem from the people around him.

I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with.

…Nine times out of 10 when he gets in trouble, it’s not him, it’s the people that he’s with.

T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine in West Hollywood.

Ne-Yo had a few words for T.I. as well in the interview:

You’ve been given a bunch of different chances. Now is the time to really go, “you know I get it, all right, I get it.”

Ne-Yo sat down with Cleveland’s Z107.9 to give an exclusive interview for HelloBeautiful, where he discussed everything including the first time he met Michael Jackson, why he won’t listen to his own music, the nagging questions about his sexuality and why he chose to have a baby with Monyetta Shaw.

“I am not engaged to be married, but I am going to have a baby with my best friend,” he said in the interview. “If you don’t believe that I’m straight that’s a problem for you, not for me. Ya’ll go ahead and think what you want to think.”

Ne-Yo Ordered To Pay $156K After Concert No-Show

A judge in Maryland has ruled on Tuesday that Ne-Yo and his booking agent must pay in excess of $156,000 in damages to a promoter after Ne-Yo failed to show up at a show in Washington state on New Years Eve, 2008.

Ne-Yo and Mike Esterman were sued by promoter Kenyohn Clark who claimed that Esterman failed to return a $95,000 deposit.

Ne-Yo testified at the trial and says he knew that the deposit should have been returned.
