This report has not been confirmed by Beyonce and Jay-Z, but there are more details about Blue Ivy Carter’s alleged godparents at HuffPost.

But not because the show is cancelled, Oprah is moving onto something bigger than her own show. She’s starting her own network, appropriately called OWN.

3. Mo’Nique
Unlike Arsenio, The Mo’Nique Show has a lot more competition in that late night slot. A show about service as much as it was celebrity, through The Tyra Show, Tyra used her beauty and brains for good. What Oprah is to the stay-at-home moms of America, Tyra was to the teenagers of America who came home after school and needed a big sister to understand them.

5. Wendy Williams
The popular radio DJ has successfully taken her format and gift of gossip to the small screen. Though Vh1 would air her radio show, The Wendy Williams Show has shown the queen of talk radio can also sit down on a couple of comfortable couch chairs and ask questions with the best of them.

“It was a pretty popular audition. At the time were not many Afrocentric films so it was an event. Plus it was Spielberg,” she remembers. “I read the book right when it came out. It was a pretty big sensation. Not much fiction gets written about us so it’s important to read it.”

Playing Squeak….

I auditioned specifically for Squeak because she was the only one that was mixed. I liked the fact that she was a hero and went to the jail to rescue Sophia. In the book she gets raped by the jailer but they cut it in the movie. They were really nervous about the movie so they created that churchy musical for Sug. That was an added piece to spice up the film. It was a bone of contention for me because I may not have been interested in the movie because there was no part for me after that. I’m on the periphery of the film. It wasn’t a step up for me.

The voice…

I had to raise my voice a bunch of octaves [but] I can sing. I’ve been a singer my whole life so I can make my voice do a lot of things. I’ve played a cave woman. In “Quest For Fire” I had a really high voice so it was nothing.

“I learned a lot about stunts. That was me. I did the fall. It added levity. When the movie starts to get really intense it cuts away to a chicken or a chicken coup. They were concerned that it was being too heavy so they added things like Squeak falling into a hole, which is just physically impossible. If you read the books it might have made you question the motives but people love the movie.”

On the current state of Black Films…

I’m sort of appalled that we’re not further along and segregated in the community. The film community is relegated to the BET network and that’s it. We’re tokenized still. In films it’s Tyler Perry and Spike Lee occasionally. Not many strides have been made. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a narcissistic business. The writers and directors aren’t integrated in their personal lives [so] why woud they be professionally? It’s great that we have a movie like Precious, but is that our only story? It’s frustrating. It always has to be the “other.”

I have three movies; The Blood of Pegasus on Sy Fy playing Mayda the witch, Jeff Who Lives At Home and I just finished a movie called Shiver where I play a detective.

During the interview he revisits some topics he’s discussed before, like growing up without a father, but he also shares his thoughts on excellence and how evolved from his double-time flow to how he raps now.

In one telling moment he confesses that his second album In My Lifetime Vol.1 didn’t come out right because he was chasing the commercial success he didn’t achieve with his debut, Reasonable Doubt.

“Reasonable Doubt didn’t sell massive numbers worldwide,” he says. “It was still very niche. On my second album…I tried to make these records that were bigger, so it would be more popular. Which was a failure. Going for that success really messed up that project and set a bad tone. It was a huge learning lesson for me.”

It was deliberately kept from me because they knew I would have tried to stop it.  I know how Oprah feels about my brother and family. I also know that he would not have wanted this. In fact, she is the last person on earth he would want around his children.

I can never forget when she had the show on pedophilia during the jury deliberation process in my brother’s Santa Maria case. That was no coincidence.  I know there are a lot of you out there upset and angry over this. I don’t blame you. Can you imagine how I feel? I’m angry too…

Let our anger be the fuel that ignites our desire for truth, and keeps us unified on the road to justice for [Michael]. I will continue to do my best with my family. All I need is your love and support. I will never give up.

Oprah Winfrey teared up while making the announcement that she’d be ending her show after 25 years on the air.

(CNN) — Oprah Winfrey will announce on Friday’s “The Oprah Winfrey Show” that she will end her talk show, said a spokesman for Winfrey’s Harpo Productions.

“Oprah will be ending her talk show,” Harpo spokesman Don Halcombe said Thursday. “She will be speaking about it on tomorrow’s live show.”

The show will air live from its Chicago, Illinois, studio at 9 a.m. CT (10 a.m. ET), he said.

The show will end on September 9, 2011, as its 25th season draws to a close, according to a letter from Harpo Inc. that President Tim Bennett addressed to partners and obtained by CNN affiliate WLS-TV.

CHICAGO — No punches were thrown. And neither bit off the other’s ear.

Mutual praise and admiration dominated during a face-to-face meeting Friday between former world champion boxers Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield on a live episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

On June 28, 1997, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Tyson was disqualified after biting off part of Holyfield’s right ear during their WBA heavyweight title fight.

A respectful Tyson shook hands with his former rival several times during their encounter Friday — which he said was his first chance to speak at length with Holyfield since the ear chomp that made worldwide headlines.

Tyson told Winfrey earlier that an initial apology after the incident was insincere. But when she asked what he wanted to say to Holyfield, Tyson stopped short of apologizing again. He instead poured on the praise.

“This is a beautiful guy,” he said, holding Holyfield’s arm affectionately for several seconds. “I just want you to know it’s just been a pleasure … being acquainted with you.”

Asked by Winfrey if he was still missing part of his ear, Holyfield pointed to it and said, “Just a little bit.”

Holyfield also had a confession of sorts to make: He himself has bitten others, during childhood roughhousing with his siblings as a way to get out of headlocks.

“You talk about biting,” he said. “I’m the person that bit every brother in my family.”

Holyfield said one reason he wanted to appear with Tyson on television was to demonstrate to youth caught up in violence that reconciliation is always possible.

“We can come together,” he said. “We know you can come together.”

Oprah: So tell me how you got into the drug dealing.

Jay-Z: It was natural.…

Oprah: Because drug dealers were your role models. There wasn’t a teacher or a lawyer or a nurse or a doctor or an accountant in the neighborhood?

Jay-Z: Well, we were living in Marcy by then, so, no. And if anyone did become something like that, they moved out. They never came back to share the wisdom of how they made it. If anyone made it, you never knew it. That’s why I’ve always said that if I became successful, I’d come back here, grab somebody, and show him how it can be done.

Oprah: So by the time you were 13, this was a way of life. Did the lifestyle frighten you?

Jay-Z: No. It was normal. And at some point, you become addicted to the feeling. The uncertainty and adrenaline and danger of that lifestyle.

Oprah: This is where we differ. This is where we differ. Because I’d be very scared! Weren’t you shot at three times—within six feet—and you lived to talk about it?

Jay-Z: That was divine intervention. Divine intervention, and nobody knowing how to shoot.

Oprah: What happened in each situation?

Jay-Z: It was one situation, three shots.

Oprah: So he was a bad shot.

Jay-Z: Well, no one really practices shooting a TEC-9 machine gun, right? And when you’re a kid, with little bony arms—no wonder nobody could aim.

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is being sued for a whopping $1 trillion by author Damon Lloyd Goffe for plagiarism, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has claimed on his website.

Goffe is suing Winfrey and her production company, Harpo, for allegedly stealing material from his work, ‘A Tome of Poetry’ and publishing it under her name with the title ‘Pieces of My Soul’, according to Hilton.

In the legal documents filed in court, Goffe claims that the talk show host admitted to the thievery last year.

The New York based author has claimed that since Oprah sold over 650 million editions of the work online for $20 a copy, he is entitled to 1.2 trillion dollars.

The intellectual property case was filed on July 31 with the US District Court in Washington DC.

For the first time in a bajillion years, Oprah Winfrey is not ranked No. 1 on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list of the world’s most powerful stars. Also for the first time ever, the annual list includes a sitting Commander-in-Chief.

Based on media exposure and career earnings over the past year, the Celeb 100 title-holder is now Angelina Jolie, who jumped to the top from third place last year. She made just $27 million, but Forbes says the actress wields more power than any other entertainer due to high-profile turns in such hit films as “Wanted” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

Winfrey is still the list’s richest celeb, with $275 million earned last year, but she ranks No. 2. Madonna came in third, trailed by Beyonce ($87 million), Tiger Woods ($110 million), Bruce Springsteen ($70 million) and Steven Spielberg ($150 million).

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt came in at eighth and ninth place, respectively, while Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant takes the tenth spot ($45 million), due in large part to endorsement deals scored after the Beijing Olympics.

President Barack Obama makes an appearance at No. 49 ($2.5 million) as the first sitting head of state to appear on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list. He was chosen because of his worldwide fame, his historic election and his career as a best-selling author.

Although he’s one of the biggest acts in entertainment, Justin Timberlake went from 12th to falling off the list completely, since ending his lucrative “FutureSex/LoveShow” concert tour. Jennifer Lopez, Johnny Depp and Tyra Banks also dropped off the list.

For starters, according to the Hollywood Reporter, McCarthy, 36, has already launched her own blog on Oprah.com. Friday’s entry concerned PMS and sugar.

Kate and Gerry McCann left London for the United States on Wednesday, reports the Associated Press. Their daughter Madeline vanished in May 2007 from a resort in southern Portugal.

The McCanns will first visit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia. They will then fly to Chicago for the “Oprah” interview [click here to read].

Age-progression images showing Madeleine as she might look now will be aired during the broadcast. Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell says the McCanns agreed to speak with Winfrey because of the global reach of her show. It is aired in 144 countries.

Star Jones made a stop on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to discuss her life since losing some 160 pounds, and the psychological residue that goes with it.

“I’m still 300 lbs. in my head some days,” the lawyer and TV personality, 47, told Winfrey on Wednesday’s broadcast. Jones said she was “a little off kilter” hours before the interview because she knew her weight would be a topic of conversation.

“I was a little late getting up [today], and I’m always up at 6 a.m. But I realized that we were gonna talk about this and it scared me a bit,” she told Winfrey.

Producer Evan Rogers, the music mogul who discovered pop star Rihanna, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about all of the unsolicited advice she has received from celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks regarding her domestic dispute with Chris Brown.

Rogers said the celebrities who have publicly urged Rihanna to break off her romance with Brown, aren’t helping the “Umbrella” singer, who had reconciled with her boyfriend after the alleged beating.

“It turns up the heat in terms of it seeming like the whole world is telling her what to do,” said Rogers. “At the end of the day, people forget that, at 21, your perspective is very different. These kinds of things can happen to anyone, whether you’re a celebrity or not.”

“She’s very aware of everything that’s going on. Just like anyone else, she watches TV, she goes online. And I think that it matters to her, but there’s a line that she walks between being human and caring when you hear these kinds of things, and separating your personal life from your professional life.”
