Marriage for Beyoncé and Jay-Z can be a “power struggle,” according to the singer – especially when both superstars have their own careers and millions of dollars. 

“If I didn’t respect someone and they didn’t have that strength, then I would be bored,” the 27-year-old tells Elle in its December issue. “I wouldn’t be attracted to them.” 

The couple, who secretly wed in April, topped Forbes‘ list of richest couples this year with an estimated worth of $162 million.

As for starting a family with Jay-Z, 39, Knowles told Ellen DeGeneres she definitely wants to have “a couple” of children – but not for a while. 

“I’m terrified of having a child,” theCadillac Records actress reveals inElle. “No way! I’m terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me. I’m only 27. I’ve got time.”

According to PerezHilton.com, the singer’s assault trial, scheduled to commence on Monday, in Fishkill Town Justice Court, has been postponed ’til December 17th.

The trial comes as a result of a guilty plea to charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, which occurred during a June 2007 concert when Akon threw a 15-year-old fan from the stage.

At the later court date, it will be determined whether or not the case can be taken care of without a trial.

The two have not confirmed their romance. But they reportedly had their public “coming out” Nov. 26, when, according to E!, the Yankees third baseman handed Madonna a water bottle during her Miami concert.

They also apparently met up on Thanksgiving, after Rodriguez fulfilled his family obligations.

When asked what he thought about being in the capital city the same time as his rumored paramour, the baseball star would only say it was “very good,” the Associated Press reports.

The 50-year-old Madonna – whose divorce from Guy Ritchie was finalized just days ago – was in town to perform a pair of concerts on her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. Rodriguez, meanwhile, was invited to inaugurate a new sports complex in the city, and spent two hours on Sunday teaching kids to bat.

“It’s a pleasure to talk about baseball, to talk about the importance of keeping children off the streets, out of drugs and out of all the bad things that there are in this life,” the 33-year-old said in Spanish.

Got ink? Rihanna certainly does. The singer showed off a new tattoo on her right wrist Wednesday, as she chatted with reporters at a UNICEF event.

“It’s tribal,” she said at the charity’s annual Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York’s Grand Army Plaza. “It represents strength and love.”

Rihanna also revealed that she got the exotic-looking tat while in New Zealand for a recent tour date.
