That’s right, 2012 will likely see the release of his his fourth solo album, a sequel to his debut effort. And more surpisingly, there is also a collaborative set with Neptunes producer/rapper/singer Pharrell Williams.

Some may recall that the two, along with Kanye West, planned on releasing an album as a group called Child Rebel Soldiers years ago. It never panned out. But maybe they’ll have an easier time hooking up. Two busy men with hectic schedules is more convenient than three.

This is the first time either Pharrell or Hans has worked on the Academy Awards, but Pharrell has worked in the film arena when he wrote the original score for Despicable Me. He’s also a three time Grammy winner.

In an intimate interview with FREQUENCY TV, Interscope emcee Game says the past 12 months have been life changing, due to his reflections on HIP HOP today. Game went on to relate with a quote by Nas saying “I don’t have the hunger to be the best anymore.” Explaining that hip hop isn’t what it used to be, Game said it forced him not to care about the chains, cars and materialistic things, “It makes me want to buy a Prius.”

Game also spoke about not liking Pharrell in the past but states that he is the main person in hip hop who has helped him through the last year.

The crew was joined by one of Tyler’s heroes, Pharrell, who came out and performed N*E*R*D’s “Inside Of Clouds” with the group.  It’s been reported that Odd Future’s lone female member, Syd The Kid, was in tears after the performance.

Unfortunately, OFWGKTA didn’t allow their performance to be streamed on the official Coachella livestream, but some crafty fans managed to catch some shaky footage of the group’s performance.

The supergroup of Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco & Pharrell aka Child Rebel Soldier release their first track since “Us Placers” (or if you wanna get real technical, all three were on that “Everybody Nose” remix)

But before we get too far off topic here.

The topic is this dope song that Kanye gave away for Good Friday called “Don’t Stop.”

Now, we’ve admittedly only listened to it once, but it’s pretty rare that we love something right off the bat.  What can I say, we got some (proud) haters in the ranks.

Especially when it comes to Lupe, who hasn’t really impressed us since the days of “Kick Push” and “I Gotcha” (we were lukewarm on “Superstar” from the jump, sorry).  But Lupe, who gets the second verse on this cut makes us wanna rethink our not-so-positive stance on dude’s career choice for a second.

A second.

Pharrell opens the track and we immediately were wondering who wrote the verse for him.  Or maybe the beat is one of those that makes anyone sound like the best rapper since…   Since…  Well you get what we’re trying to say.

Kanye bats clean up and sounds like the Kanye we always liked.  “N*ggas hating on the internet / I couldn’t tell / I was too busy rappin / good as hell.”

Well Yeezy, no hate comin from us on this one.

Rihanna and Pharrell Williams’ relationship has reportedly been getting closer.

The pair became friends last month working on Rihanna’s new album in Beverly Hills.

A source told The Mirror: “It’s no secret that Rihanna and Pharrell have chemistry.”

“And not just in the studio – they seem mesmerised by each other.”

“Rihanna and Pharrell talk on the phone all the time and whenever she can get a break in her schedule she’ll go and support him at a gig.”

Rihanna’s former boyfriend Chris Brown is also a friend and musical collaborator of Williams.

The source added: “Chris will be gutted to learn he could have lost Rihanna to one of the sexiest men in music.”

Rihanna’s growing up, and she’s invited the big boys to play on her new album.

Among the heavy hitters slated to lend their voices to the new disc are Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Soulja Boy, Perez Hilton reports, citing sources at Def Jam records.

Not sharing the spotlight with any lady friends, huh RiRi?

The same whisperers at Def Jam say that the album will crossover into rock and pop and overall present a more mature Rihanna than fans have enjoyed in the past, according to Hilton.

The album will also feature duets, one of which was supposed to be sung with Chris Brown before the altercation that landed the former lovebirds on front pages for months. (On June 22, Brown pleaded guilty to hitting her after a pre-Grammy’s party in February.)

There is no word on who she’ll be performing the duets with instead.

The name of the album is going to be kept a secret until the “last moment,” said the insiders quoted, but it will “mark the spirits forever.”

Pretty strong stuff from a songbird who’s yet to see 22, but has clearly lived a lot already.

Pharrell has placed his Midas touch on records for a who’s who of divas including Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and Beyoncé. Now Skateboard P is giving Rihanna the golden treatment.

“I’m going in with Rihanna,” The Neptunes frontman told Billboard in a recent interview. This is the first time the two have collaborated together.

Rihanna was seen dancing onstage at a N.E.R.D. show in April.

In addition to the pop princess, the producer-turned-singer has been in the studio with Shakira, Usher, Incubus, and Sara Bareilles. He’s also finishing up N.E.R.D.’s fourth album.

Here’s what he had to say about the endeavor:

“There is a first time for everything. I’m working on a new project for a movie which I can’t discuss yet but I got to work with an orchestra for the first time. It’s crazy that we haven’t done it before and I can’t wait to share it with you guys…”

Pharrell speaks to Nino Scalia, co-writer of Street Dreams, about making the song “Hoppin’ Over Fences” for the movie’s soundtrack after Rob Dyrdek (of Rob & Big) approached him for it. Here’s the film’s synopsis:

“Derrick Cabrera, like all skateboarders, dreams of being sponsored one day. He has all the talent in the world to make it happen but some major roadblocks to overcome before he can make the dream a reality. He is receiving pressure from all sides, his parents are stressing him because he is failing in school, his girlfriend thinks he is a loser, his best friend has become his rival because he is better than him. Things come to a head after Derrick gets arrested and a fight ensues with his father resulting in him running away from home. He does the only thing he knows how to do and opts to follow his dream to the Tampa Am contest, one of the only ways an unknown skater can get noticed.”
