Nene Leakes Quits “Celebrity Apprentice”

Word was NeNe doesn’t know who the possible father is, and because NeNe was rumored to have dated NFL player Charles Grant while separated from husband Greg, Grant’s name came up as the possible daddy.

Atlanta housewife Nene Leakes and stylist Dwight Eubanks reportedly got into a huge fight at the new Loews Hotel on Peachtree Street.

The altercation was so out of control that the dueling parties reportedly caused $10,000 damage to the posh hotel. Dwight called in to Majic 107.5 / 97.5 earlier today and spoke with Carol Blackmon about the incident. While he couldn’t give out too many details since the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is currently taping, he did shed some light on what went down.

Before they were reality stars of their own shows Tomika “Tiny” Cottle and Kandi Burress were both members of the 90s hit group Xscape, and they are still very close.  Tiny released a statement following the devastating news of the murder of Real Housewives of Atlanta star A.J. Jewell, Kandi’s ex-fiance  who was killed in front of a Atlanta strip club today.

“I would like to send my deepest condolesences to the family of Ashley AJ Jewell and my dear friend and former bandmate Kandi,” Tiny shared in her statement. “AJ was a very sweet person who has been a friend for quite some time and had a lot of positive things taking place in his life for it all to be taken away from him so quickly.He will be missed,my family and I will continue to keep his family and most of all his children in our
prayers. I am praying for my friend Kandi that God gives her the strength to endure. She is a very strong person and I know god will see her through.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu-Hartwell and her husband, former Oakland Raiders linebacker Edgerton Hartwell, have lost their mansion in Duluth to foreclosure, according to TMZ.com.

Wu-Hartwell’s rep said the couple had been trying to restructure the loan after the house lost value, but were unsuccessful. They were forced to move out last week after defaulting.

The Hartwells purchased the house in 2007 for $2.9 million, but it sold on the courthouse steps for $1.9 million on Aug. 4, according to TMZ.

Their rep said, “Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home, that sits on 10 acres and they own it!”

In other ATL Housewives news, TMZ has obtained the 911 call made by Kim Zolciak that alleges she was choked by fellow cast member NeNe Leakes.

Zolciak — who made the call from behind a “Target shopping center” — tells the dispatcher, “I was filming my show … and I was choked by one of my cast members.”

NeNe, meanwhile, continues to deny the allegations. Zolciak tells us she’s looking into her legal options — which include pressing assault charges.

Sheree Whitfield, one of the cast members on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has filed an appeal with the Georgia Supreme Court regarding her divorce settlement from ex-husband Bob Whitfield.

In a Housewives episode, Whitfield made it known that she wanted a seven figure settlement in her divorce from the former Atlanta Falcons player.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Sheree was originally awarded $2,142.87 a month in child support for the couple’s two kids, who were 8 and 11 when the Whitfields divorced after seven years in 2007.

She was also given more than $1.1 million in a marital property division, a lump sum payment of $775,000 and portions of three NFL retirement programs totaling somewhere in the neighborhood of $113,422 annually, but no alimony was awarded, the Fulton County public information officer revealed.

She also has been ordered to move out of a $2.6 million home in Sandy Springs, which she is fighting, saying she can’t afford to buy a home in the neighborhood her kids are accustomed to.

Sheree’s lawyers argue that her lack of education (she has only a high school diploma) and inability to earn income (her Bella Azul clothing boutique failed soon after opening) are in stark contrast to NFL retiree Bob, who received an $8 million signing bonus with the Falcons as part of a $30 million six-year contract.

He’s invested that money into real estate ventures in Costa Rica, California and Atlanta, and draws $50,000 a year from his Patchwerks recording studio.

Bob’s lawyers believe Sheree should be fined $2,500 for bringing a frivolous appeal.

In a no-brainer move for Bravo, the Atlanta-based incarnation of its “Real Housewives” franchise – and the first with a predominantly-black cast – has been renewed for a second season.

The reality show, which followed the lives of five (supposedly) wealthy women in Atlanta, averaged 1.3 million adults 18-49 in its first season, and nearly 1.5 million total viewers, according to Variety.

The Atlanta season received higher ratings than any of Bravo’s “Orange County” seasons or the lone “New York” run.

The ATL reunion special, which featured fireworks between cast members Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leaks, also produced the biggest single-episode numbers of all three franchises, garnering 2.1 million adults 18-49 and 2.8 million total viewers.

The season may be over, but drama still continues for 41-year-old NeNe Leakes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that the reality show star and her husband Gregory left their posh five-bedroom spread after receiving an eviction notice.

According to Darryl Pierce, the broker for the 5,000-square-foot home at 1765 Silvermere Court in Duluth, the couple moved out in November after Winwood Properties filed an eviction notice on Sept. 24.

Filed with the Magistrate Court of Gwinnett County, the notice said Greg Leakes owed $6,240 in past due rent, and “the tenant said they would move by Sept. 14th because they could no longer afford the house.”

The owner of the home, Kajani Shenaz Ali, lives overseas, Pierce said. Online records show the home in the gated community of Stonebrier at Sugarloaf, was purchased for $829,400 in September 2006. Pierce said the Leakeses moved into the home shortly after it was built in 2006.

NeNe, in a series of e-mails to AJC Tuesday, would not say where she is living now. “It’s none of your business,” she wrote. But she noted that they “are financial able [sic] and stable to live where ever we feel fits.”

She also wrote that the eviction notice does not have her name on it, adding “you don’t know my relationship with Greg so be careful what you report!”

The Duluth home, she wrote in an e-mail late last week, “was a lease purchase corporate deal with Greg & his company. Things didn’t work out between the two of them so they did what they had to do and he did what he had to do.”

On Tuesday, she wrote, “If we rent, lease purchase or buy, money is still coming out of my pocket. So who’s [sic] business is that??”

Gregory, 54, is a real estate investor, according to the show. The only business the AJC could find under his name in Georgia is called Advantage Move LLC. The phone number listed for Advantage Move has been disconnected.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta averaged 1.3 million viewers over seven episodes, the biggest freshman series for the Bravo cable network since Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in 2003. The drama-filled reunion episode on Nov. 25 drew 2.8 million viewers, which is more than any Real Housewives episode, including versions in Orange County, Calif., and New York City.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” bid farewell in a final burst of sumptuous overconsumption of food, wine and naive ridiculousness. Which is why the show, in its various locales (Orange County, New York, apparently New Jersey at some point) keeps going.

So in the final episode, DeShawn Snow, wife of former NBA player Eric Snow, had a deep talk with fellow ‘wife Lisa Wu-Hartwell.

Wu-Hartwell was a little unhappy that her husband, Ed Hartwell, had been signed by the Oakland Raiders and that Ed would leave her all alone in happening Atlanta while he went off to, by the sounds of it according to his wife, practically a foreign nation, ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY. Like, a three-hour plane ride! Luckily, since the show was shot last summer, we know that Ed didn’t make it with the Raiders so Wu-Hartwell’s angst was misplaced.

Snow had her own problems. Eric was going to have to retire because of an injury. While trying to teach DeShawn how to cook in case she had to fire her personal chef once Eric’s NBA paycheck quit arriving (the cooking lesson didn’t take and we find out at the end of the show that DeShawn kept her chef), Wu-Hartwell asked if the Snows would have to be downsizing at all upon Eric’s retirement.

Um, yes, yes she would, DeShawn said, explaining that she, personally, wasn’t going to be able to renew the lease on her Mercedes. And that meant she unfortunately would be down to one personal car and the family would make do with five. Five cars.

OK, then. It’s time to say farewell. And if you’re in Atlanta and see DeShawn walking, you’ll know why. The five family cars are all in the shop.

Austin has been shown several times in the series meeting with Zolciak about her music plans and even working with her in the studio. But the artist posted a message on his MySpace page that aims to set the record straight.

“We are not doing a song, we are not doing an album … that was only for television!” Austin wrote.

Meanwhile, fellow Atlanta Housewife Sheree Whitfield tells the New York Daily News that she remains “100 percent” devoted to developing her debut fashion line, She by Sheree.

“It’s for today’s modern woman,” she says. “The pieces will be classic, sexy [and] look feminine and with a strong emphasis on dresses.”

Tuesday’s season finale featured Sheree getting some advice by Mychael Knight, a finalist on Bravo’s “Project Runway,” after her launch party for the line ended up being held without any of the completed fashions on display.

She admits that the line, which is inspired by the women in her family, is “still kind of a work in progress.”

Despite its infancy, She by Sheree has already attracted plenty of attention from “Housewives” fans who are impatiently awaiting its launch. Whitfield and She by Sheree were among the top 10 most Googled items last week after the show’s second-to-last episode.
