Soulja Boy is the young man who helped revolutionize getting a record deal by making Youtube videos. Producer, Mr. ColliPark discovered DeAndre Way on the video sharing site in 2007 and the rest is history. Another thing that might be history is Soulja Boy’s luxurious Atlanta bachelor pad. TMZ reported the young rapper hasn’t paid his $4,725 rent and was served with an eviction notice. He has until December 5th to pay up or he’ll be forced to find another place to live.

It’s ironic how most of the rappers who talk about how much money they have to blow or trick on random groupies are always the ones with tax issues or eviction notices stapled to their doors. hopefully he gets his stuff together because the streets aren’t safe for a young kid with that much jewelry. Soulja Boy is now out of jail and a free man after posting a $10,000 bond, and he says he’s innocent of the drugs and weapons charges against him. Police officers initially stopped the vehicle Soulja was in with four other men for a traffic violation, but discovered and confiscated a briefcase with $40,000, weed and a gun. Soulja was arrested, but claims the briefcase is not his.

After getting caught with weed, Soulja Boy was arrested this morning for marijuana possession in Temple, GA. Soulja, a.k.a., DeAndre Cortez Way is locked up in Carroll County Jail and was arrested by Temple Police Department officers.

UPDATE: Soulja Boy was also caught with weapons in a briefcase.

Soulja Boy who is known for his outrageous stunts and statements released a rap song with the line “F–k the FBI and f–k all the army troops… fighting for what? B—h be your own man… I’ll be flying through the clouds with green like I’m Peter Pan.”

Military vet Fred A. Flores, is demanding an apology from Soulja Boy saying:

“[The rap] is very irresponsible, especially for a person who is an entertainer for the youth of our country.” He adds “He should apologize to ALL armed forces.”

Why It Was So Outrageous: At the time, SB was still just a kiddie rapper who was largely known for his debut single, “Crank That.”

How It Turned Out: As a result of the video, many of SB’s songs were banned from school dances. The “Shootout” video was also reworked—this time without the guns.

Soulja Boy says he and Drake will be hitting the studio to work on music for Drake’s forthcoming album, Take Care. The duo are slated to hit up a studio in Atlanta to work on the track.

“Me and Drake got something coming—crazy,” Soulja Boy told Rap-Up.com. “Drake called me and was like, ‘Man, I like the Juice mixtape. I like the ‘Zan With That Lean’ too. He named four songs off the mixtape that he really liked.”

“He said he’s coming to Atlanta and gon’ kick it with me,” Soulja Boy continued. “We gonna go in the studio for a whole week. He’s working on his new album too, so you already know what time it is.”

Soulja Boy tells Rap-Up “We’ve been filming here in Atlanta. Waka Flocka’s gonna be in the movie. It’s gonna be crazy. He called, he reached out. We met up with the director. Soulja Boy is set to star in a remake of the 1992 film Juice. He will play the role of “Bishop,” which was originally played by the late Tupac Shakur.

“Basically, it’s your boy Soulja and I’m Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man,” SouljaBoy told Vibe. “Cam’Ron reached out to get in the movie. Some of the original actors that were in the original reached out too.”

Filming for the movie begins April 28th in Atlanta.

Soulja Boy‘s latest music video, “Zan With That Lean,” is little more than an ode to getting bent off of that drank. In the clip, Soulja Boy sips from his cup and puffs away on weed like he’s the reincarnation of Lil Wayne circa 2009.

We can’t be the only ones that are a little disturbed by such an explicit celebration of the drug that claimed the lives of hip-hop legends like Pimp C of UGK and DJ Screw. But with our celebration of the weed habits of those like Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, and the love that acts like underground faves like The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and Odd Future are getting for their drug induced musical fantasies, we aren’t surprised.
