Ricky tells us, Raz was scheduled to perform last night at the Salute the DJ’s Award Show — but he never made it to the stage.

According to Ricky, Joc’s security team stopped Raz in his tracks and refused to let him perform — all because Raz publicly dissed Yung Joc in a song a few months ago.

Ricky tells us he tried to help get his brother past the hired muscle … but Joc’s security wasn’t having it — and roughed him up pretty bad instead.

Ricky claims he suffered some nasty cuts to his head during the melee — before he and Raz were both forcefully thrown out of the Atrium Event Center.

No police report was filed. Yung Joc had no comment.

Yung Joc was fined in Fayette County, GA after his pitbulls attacked his neighbor’s dog.

The Atlanta-based “It’s Goin’ Down” rapper apologized to his neighbor and claims that the electronic collars and gate on his property malfunctioned.  He’s also agreed to pay for his neighbor’s dog’s medical expenses in addition to the fine.

Kudos to Yung Joc for doing the responsible thing in this situation.

After a two-year hiatus, Yung Joc has finally announced a release date for his third studio album, Grind Flu. The album, which was previously titled Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood will see a mid-August digital release.

But more than just the title has changed for Yung Joc’s latest project. The upcoming album will be the first time the rapper has released a CD on his own record label Swagg Team Entertainment. Originally slated to be released on Bad Boy Records, the project was halted after Joc made the decision to sue Diddy’s record label as well as Block Entertainment for allegedly failing to fulfill contractual obligations such as paying royalties. Clearly expressing his anger and disappointment about the situation back in May, Joc told Billboard.com that he would “use some independent record promoters to promote my record.”

“Fans all over the world have been eagerly waiting for me to release a new album,” Yung Joc said in a recent statement, “and I felt the time was right at this very moment to release Grind Flu for free, gift it to my fans, and do things my way.”

With the decision to release Grind Flu through Jive’s Swagg Team Entertainment imprint, Yung Joc joins groups Hot Styles (of “Lookin’ Boy” fame) and the GS Boyz (who recently smashed digital sales with their hit “Stanky Legg”) as an official artist of the label.

The new album will feature Shawty Lo, Bobby V, Chris Brown, Pleasure P, and others. Grind Flu will be available free for download on August 11th.

Essence.com got to the root of a recent black blogosphere firestorm that suggested Kym Whitley had smacked her good friend and fellow actress Tamala Jones during the Pleasure P album release party in Miami.

But, the whole thing was a joke from Atlanta rapper Yung Joc, who apparently felt like starting some mess on Twitter.

He tweeted: “They were playing at first, at least I thought they were and then Tamela [sic] was like b—- how you let a dude with a pinky d— turn you out. BAM. I almost feel like it was my fault because I started flirting with the two of them and they took that sh– somewhere else. I kinda feel bad. don’t think Tamela [sic] didn’t buck back!!! But Kim is too thick for her…i got pics and video too!‘

Needless to say, folks believed the gossip and promptly spread it around. But Tamala Jones says she and Whitley were just playing.

She told Essence.com:

I really have to come clean about this because Kym, who’s like my sister, has been catching a lot of flack for this. It was all a joke. What happened is we ran into Yung Joc in the lobby of our hotel and we were bickering like sisters do but nothing serious and Joc was like y’all are funny like Laverne and Shirley. He ended up going to dinner with us and while we were at dinner he said we should come up with a joke like he had done about DMX and Katt Williams. He thought we should be arguing over him and we were like, ‘Uh, no.’  So we start up and his boy is taping us in action as we begin ragging on each other and then we were going to tape the second part–the alleged smack–but it never happened. Again, we were just joking around and going to let everyone know it was just a joke. I was like, ‘Sure this is good press for you Kym you have “Transformers” coming out soon.’ I’ve never been violent nor has anyone ever been violent towards me. But now, it’s gotten out of hand and it’s affecting Kym’s money because she has a deal with a company and they called her about it. So I want to just set the record straight that we were all just having fun and being silly.

According to bossip.com, Yung Joc is going after the infamous career-ending Diddy and Bad Boy Records. He might be the only one in the history of Bad Boy to actually take Diddy to court over money and his music.

Yung Joc reports that there has been some shady business deals, missing budgets, and now rumors of company financial hardships – he reached out to Gyantunplugged.com to share his side of the story. Block Entertainment’s number one artist has been noticeably absent from the roster for at least a year. There have been industry whispers going around that their was inner turmoil inside the record label, particularly between Joc and Block.

A couple of weeks ago the newest rumor was that Joc was leaving Block Entertainment all together and had decided to make the full move over to Bad Boy records. But it looks like Harv and them over at Bad Boy records is playing games with easy going MC and now Joc’s taking everybody to court.

Joc broke down all his gripes regarding his relationship with the owner of Block Entertainment – Mr. Big Block. Joc alleges that due to contractual situations, unpaid royalties and unpaid advances the young business mogul and his legal team is currently in the process of taking legal action against his record label.

The multi-platinum rap star alleges that Block Ent/Bad Boy hasn’t offered any label support since 2007. Yung Joc went on to make shocking claims about the inner dealings of Block Ent.

According to Joc, he’s paid for his own public relations, claims to not be receiving his advance money for his projects, alleges that Block has used advances for other projects, and even makes shocking claims regarding his former management company 9196.

Joc quickly broke down his reasons for splitting with his former management company, which happened to be owned by Big Block, but is fronted by CEO Rico Brooks. Yung Joc breaks down the situation by saying that it was nothing more then a 360 deal , that resulted in Block getting a piece of everything. Many people didn’t know, but Shakir Stewart and Ted Lucas took over mgmt of Joc’s career shortly after Joc ended his relationship with 9196. But since Shake’s suicide late last year, Yung Joc and two companies have taken over managerial duties. And what’s this I’m hearing about Big Block charging other record companies 25k to clear Joc for a record? I guess that explains why we haven’t seen Mr. Robinson in any video’s recently. Joc shared tells of Block’s ‘Suge Knight -esque” actions that’s prevented Joc from being cleared to do other music projects outside of Bad Boy and Block ENT.

But, though Jasiel Robinson is upset with his current business situation with Block, the popular artist wasn’t in the mood to throw grease. I have been hearing all kinds of rumors. One being from the devious folks over at Media Take Out saying that due to the legal situation, Yung Joc is going to “out Diddy’s sexual tendencies”:

Yung Joc’s third studio album Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, referencing his legal name Jasiel Robinson, is set to be released on Joc’s newly formed label called Swagg Team Entertainment.

The label, which is an imprint of Jive Records, has already signed two up-and-coming acts, Hotstylz and GS Boyz. Hotstylz, a group out of Chicago, released the single “Lookin Boy” last year, which featured a guest appearance by Yung Joc. The GS Boyz hail from Arlington, Texas and have an internet following surrounding their YouTube hit, “Stanky Legg.”

Joc says his daughter turned him onto the group.

“I walked in the house one day, and my five-year-old daughter and my nephew asked me if I knew how to do the “Stanky Leg.” It was a dance they learned off of YouTube…I knew it would be a hit…The hits to come will leave other labels wondering why they didn’t sign them GS Boyz first.”

In addition to his expansion in the music industry, Yung Joc has taken his business skills to the fashion world with a line of sunglasses called Claudio St. James. Joc says the venture is going to be run with his family.

Joc is currently touring in the UK and throughout several Asian Naval bases and plans to release his upcoming album Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood within the year.

Now that the dust has settled from Bobby Valentino being dropped from Def Jam, the self described “shawty from the ‘A’” has since moved on– teaming up with Lil Wayne, signed a new major label deal with Capital and has a new song seeking heat on the charts.

In this exclusive interview, we caught up with the former DTP crooner just moments before all hell broke loose at the Radio One Dirty Awards, to talk about the overcrowding at Def Jam, his relationship with rapper Ludacris and what he hopes the future holds.

“Don’t get me wrong, Def Jam is a great label. But I wanted to be somewhere that I could get my just due– where I can shine,” admits Bobby in hindsight. “There was a lot of competition over there. You got Ne-Yo, Rihanna. You got Jeezy, you got Luda, you got Jay-Z. I couldn’t compete with that. If you on a power house team, it’s hard to get your shine on.”

“To make a long story short, I sat down with Luda and Chaka and we had a real conversation. I told them I wanted to step out on faith and they understood that.”

Since being dropped from Def Jam, which led to him asking to be released from DTP, Bobby is prepping his first release on his own label, Blue Kolla Dreams, at Capital.

“I am on Capital now. That’s a label where I can grind at. They are on the come up too and I feel I can be safe at Capital and get more attention put on my project,” says Bobby.

Bobby insists that things are still all gravy between he and Ludacris, however don’t expect the two to collaborate on Bobby’s new CD, The Rebirth, which is due out on Valentine’s Day.

“I don’t need Luda to make me hot,” defends Bobby when asked about naysayers who believe he is just hip-hop arm candy. “Even when I was at Def Jam, a lot of the things y’all seen happen, I really did them myself. Although Luda helped me out with some good looks like “Pimpin’ All Over The World” and other records, I A&R’d my own projects, I picked my own producers. But sometimes that all gets overshadowed when you are working underneath someone else.

When asked about the seemingly unlikely pairing of him and Lil Wayne on the radio hit “Mrs. Officer,” Bobby was quick to correct me by reminding me just how far back the pair goes.

“A lot of people don’t remember, but Wayne was on my first album, and it was around the time when he wasn’t getting as much mainstream love as he is now. I think ‘Tell Me’ might have been one of the first R&B songs he got on,” says Bobby. “He kinda was returning the favor.”

With his new single “Beep” featuring Yung Joc [view video here], Bobby hopes to continue to realize what he calls his “blue collar dreams.”
